That doesn't make sense only because we know the status check switches to DLS if you're getting a ding. If they're updating your address to send you a ding, why not change the status to DLS at the same time?shakespeare wrote:Not to scare everyone but what if the new dls is a change in address formatting (ex from ave -> avenue) in the status checker & we just dont know cuz none of us have received the rejection letter yet?

Because they haven't sent out the ding yet - they might know who's getting dinged, but not yet printed the letters. The acceptances only turn to DLS after they assemble the packet and get ready to drop it in the mailssanonymous wrote:That doesn't make sense only because we know the status check switches to DLS if you're getting a ding. Not trying to step on any toes. I'm in the same boat.
And given my stats, its not looking good for us address changers. It could be a dls or a hold and they're just waiting to tell us. :/

Mine shows "Avenue" instead of "Ave". But I have no idea whether it was like that to begin with.

Ok ok lets not get hysterical. Maybe it just means some sort of action is going to be taken on your application soon. They have only trickled out acceptances so far and maybe there is going to be a pretty large wave of admits and dings and they just need to lay the groundwork. I mean dont they send admit packets after you get the call?

Look at your other status checkers. The address should be the same in them, no?wisteria wrote:Mine shows "Avenue" instead of "Ave". But I have no idea whether it was like that to begin with.

Not necessarily, FYI a school cleaned up my address one day, deleted a line and formatted it better. I got in later one but I don't think the chance was indicative of anything.bob loblaw11 wrote:Look at your other status checkers. Actually no. I checked my other status checkers. Some use Ave, some use Avenue. Some use Apt, some use apartment. Some use "S", some use South.bob loblaw11 wrote:Look at your other status checkers. Ha, I feel like such a nerd. (Not that I wasn't one to begin with)

Stanford's is the only one of mine in which the name of my street (which is a compound word) is separated into two words.
Don't give me the D, Stanford, we've been through so much!

I think it might just mean movement; they need proper addresses for both ins and outs, right? And most of the folks reporting the change have stats/backgrounds that give them a good shot.

Mine might have been this way since the beginning, I never would have thought to look at the formatting until the last couple days.mambar wrote:Does anyone not have a "changed" address? Sorry if I missed it, but mine's been like this as long as I can remember

But if it signalled an admittance, why wouldn't they just call? The call process would take under five minutes.

Ummm, when did LSAC change its layout? It's absolutely hideous. Definitely not a good enough justification for all these status checkers being down.
Ok... I said soon yesterday, but what I really meant is next week...
guys, I just want to go back to being a normal person. I applied in November hoping that I'd be done in January, and now we're about to go into March. So.sad.
