Wow I cannot believe Joe got deferred. His numbers are better than mine. I think only a handful of people make it from deferred-->admit, but Joe if there's anyone that can do it, it's you.

Are these deferrals coming through email? I haven't been home yet to check the mail but I didn't get any emails today .

I'm really surprised but thank you. Im gonna try to hit them with LOCI out the wazoo but NYU isnt so bad! Gonna throw an app at Stanford too I hope you get in!!

Not a bad idea! Yah I applied there too but with my gpa my chances are laughable at best. I wonder if more deferrals are going out tomorrow :/

When you are an ED applicant, they can choose do "defer" your decision and reconsider your application with the regular decision apps in april or something. Unfortunately, what usually happens to deferred applicants is that they get "held" (waitlisted essentially), and then rejected sometime in the summer--hence why it is known as a "soft rejection."

Morning deferrals in the ED thread. Probably the last time I'll have info to post here. Sigh.

I seriously was so anxious that I couldn't fall asleep last night. And last night was supposed to be the first night of the week that I got a decent night's sleep.

I am now just hoping that they forgot to put me in the ED pile and that I'm gonna be considered with the RD folk lol.
