I talked to admissions people yesterday, and they said they'd be sending out scholarship info in about 2 weeks.

Fwiw- Looking at everyone's numbers, this looks like a total accept batch if complete 1/19 actually means mailed 1/29.

I hope so, as I am another complete 1/19'er.

Why do you guys think complete emails=decision made? For all the other schools, complete=UCR

Maybe total crap, but...

1. Emory doesn't have a status checker and doesn't email you when a decision has been made.
2. Emory doesn't actually email when you go complete (I applied in early November and got the complete email 1/19) so this may act as a way to internally mark that a decision has been made (kind of but not exactly like Cornell/ ur date at WUSTL).
3. People that submitted apps at various times went complete on 1/19, even though others went complete on 1/14, other days (complete date does not correspond with app submission date).
3. A number of people that went complete on 1/19 received admissions packets dated 1/29.
4. Almost everyone that seems to have gone complete on 1/19 has numbers that look like admit based on Emory's numbers.

Seems plausible. I went complete 12/14 and was admitted 12/24.

Wow, okay got it. Geezzz, Now I have to try and remember when I went complete. So we only have 1/14 and 1/19 to choose from? How do we know 1/14 is not a good response?

I think Emory used regular USPS, so it'll be slow. I live in teh South and got my package 4 days after they mailed it out (ok it was the weekend). There was also a huge snow storm around TN, so if you live somewhere that passes through TN from GA, it'll affect mail.

I went complete 1/14, with a 168 and 3.55, which I thought were good numbers for Emory...

Granted they didn't start reviewing until Jan.

I'm not sure why people are trying to link complete date with acceptances. I've been complete since around Thanksgiving, and I have admit numbers. They seem to be mailing out in small batches, not large ones (although that might change in the next couple of weeks...).

Also....if you check out last year's cycle on LSN, it looks like Emory sent out their first big wave of acceptances starting 1/23. So now's about right.

Is it complete on 1/14 OR 1/19? Because I went complete the first time on 1/15 and then complete again on 1/19.

last time emory rob answered questions he suggested that they hadnt sent out even half of their acceptances yet. It seems from LSN that the "half" that they have accepted thus far will get offers from higher ranked schools. Im not saying everyone will accept higher offers, but id be surprised if the offers they have given out thus far translate into more than 25% of their matriculants. so I think theres a lot of reason to keep your head up
