What kind of envelope/packet did your acceptance come in?
First got an acceptance letter (regular size envelope), and then the next day a nice fat package with the seat deposit, financial aid, housing info - all of which were properly addressed to me. I also made sure to contact the admissions office after getting the "we may have sent you the wrong decision letter" email to make sure that I indeed was offered a seat.

Your acceptance packet contained merit scholarship information?

Unfortunately, nope. No word on scholarships. I don't know if they send that info later, or if I'm just not getting any money. Most likely the latter.

ugh. waitlisted. Not priority so far as I can tell. 167/3.09. Both pissed and surprised.

Yeah, also pissed and surprised. I'm in-state and Maryland is a really attractive option.

LSN seems to indicate batches, or something close to batches.
So hopefully the fact that I am 162/3.8/OOS is good for y'all who went DM on 2/1 with me...

I went DM on 2/1 (164, 3.2). I talked to admissions this morning and said my letter was sent yesterday so hopefully it will come before the weekend (I'm in Texas). Both of my parents are alums so I'm hoping that pushed my not-so-strong numbers over the top.

Got my acceptance letter today, too. For those who are curious, 162/3.85/In-State. Best of luck to all who are still waiting.

In!!! I knew this batch had a good feeling to it.
And I also got nervous about the small letter...I was on the phone when I looked at it and was so distracted I didn't notice the Congrats! on the envelope.

Maryland was super quick in their response to my application. I applied on 1/24, decision mailed on 2/1. I was accepted, but I'm in a similar boat about the money, especially since I'm out of state. Maybe they do out-of-state tuition waivers instead of "scholarships?"

There was a thread somewhere on TLS that categorized states based on difficulty of attaining in-state status for tuition purposes. There was easy, pretty hard and hard. Maryland fell into the last category. hth
