Re: UConn waiting thread
Anyone who has not been admitted yet, can you check the status checkers and see if your list of requirements has vanished or is still there?
Trying to see if it is some kind of sign, or if it happened to everyone.

I haven't received a yes/no/waitlist from UConn yet and my requirements are still there. (I went complete mid January. Freakin' UG took forever w the certificate, they had my app sans certificate mid December.kalvano wrote:Anyone who has not been admitted yet, can you check the status checkers and see if your list of requirements has vanished or is still there?

Other schools that I have been accepted to no longer have the requirements there, though iirc there was a bit of a lag time. Checker changed to accepted and then a day or so later the requirements went away. (I believe this is how it happened, though I could be mistaken).

Mine are still listed... I've been complete since 11/9.
Non-URM, 160, 3.4... getting nervous.

Re: UConn waiting thread
Look at this LSN list- ordered by descending LSAT:
http://uconn.lawschoolnumbers.com/appli ... order=desc
You'll see some VERY qualified candidates who are still 'pending.' I think this is a good sign for everyone who is still waiting- the fact that you haven't heard back yet probably means nothing in terms of your chances.

Congrats. Accepted out-of-state, no mention of a scholarship so I guess I'll have to see if I can stomach the out-of-state tuition for 1L.

I thought scholarship offers come later? Do they come with your acceptance letter?

Finally.
Got the letter, in.
Have to see if I can visit soon, since their Admitted Students Day is after my deadline at WF.
How long until scholarship info?

Re: UConn waiting thread
so can we establish that something in status check in fact changes when a decision has been reached? Is it that the requirement list goes away?
congrats to those recently admitted! when is their ASD? If admitted I will probably be choosing between uconn and wf and would hate to lose a security deposit.

ASD is April 10, and my deposit is due at WF April 1, so I am going to try to fly up for a day at the beginning of March to see UConn.

Re: UConn waiting thread
My deposit at WF is due 4/15. So if I get admitted to Uconn, there is the possibility I would not have to hedge any of my bets. Thats a big "if" though. Come on uconn! your basketball team is embarrassing this season, but I still love you! Now show me some love.kalvano wrote:moandersen wrote:so can we establish that something in status check in fact changes when a decision has been reached? Is it that the requirement list goes away?

Re: UConn waiting thread
So I think I will be up there around the 1st or 2nd of March.
How long does it usually take for scholarship info? Will I have it by the time I head up there?
Also, anyone heard anything about reimbursement for travel to visit?

Re: UConn waiting thread
It seems like it takes 2 weeks or so, judging by the way things have been working on this thread. Tram, for instance, posted that he was admitted on 1/29, and posted about his scholarship on 2/11.kalvano wrote:

Wait, I never got a link to a status checker! What is going on? I've been complete for a week (notified by email), but I never received any info about a status checker (or a password).
When, after applying, did you receive your status checkers?

(they announced the status checker around the 20th of January for everyone who had applied before then.)

Re: UConn waiting thread
Why does uconn need copies of your parents income tax paperwork, and need their information reported to fafsa if you are born after Jan. 1, 1987? no other school has asked me for this and I would rather not include it since I am a year removed from undergrad and will be paying for law school.

I don't know people are wondering or it helps, but I was admitted a couple weeks ago and my status checker is completely blank (I think it went that way before I got the letter). So I wouldn't read into it much, if at all.

Re: UConn waiting thread
Mine and a few other people's did the same (went blank). So I am guessing that signifies acceptance or at least decision.GobiasIndustries wrote:I don't know people are wondering or it helps, but I was admitted a couple weeks ago and my status checker is completely blank (I think it went that way before I got the letter).
