Re: michigan 2010 applicants
I'm curious to see what Michigan decides to do with me. I didn't write the "Why Michigan?", because I didn't have anything specific to say other than my generic-but-sincere opinion that it's a great school where the administration seems to really care about the students. I did write a diversity essay, though, and I've emailed them with specific placement-related questions before, so hopefully they'll play ball.

I'm sure you'll do fine. You don't need to flood them with material if what you submit is good.soullesswonder wrote:I'm curious to see what Michigan decides to do with me. Hey! My status checker just updated to "Decision". Since I'm an international applicant based abroad, I think the written decision may take quite a while to reach me.
I'm hoping this is a good sign?

Yeah I expected the decisions to start rolling out only by late November. Do they send out rejections this early? *nervous wreck*

If the stats in your profile are right, I wouldn't worry so much.ankit wrote:Yeah I expected the decisions to start rolling out only by late November. Do they send out rejections this early? *nervous wreck*

Complete at Michigan as of yesterday. I'm a reapplicant and my GPA went up by .4 (but still TTT), LSAT is now above their 75%, I'm URM and wrote a pretty solid Why essay and DS. Michigan is definitely in my top 2 choices of schools I'd love to attend. Hopefully they admit me this time.

Others with the decision status may want to try the same...

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Just when I thought I would have a quiet week before the storm of Thanksgiving decisions....
For what its worth, no Decision yet for me. Applied 10/11, Complete 10/21. I would give my firstborn child for a pre-thanksgiving acceptance (that might be a bit of a stretch).

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
7th of November, I applied on the first day they accepted applications, fee waiver, why mich etc etc. Seriously good luck to everyone waiting, I know how it feels to wait and not know anything. Rejected last year from almost everywhere applied, retook, reapply, reaffirmation. Don't give up hoping people!
