I can take shootings since they're so rare. But I'm out here in Georgetown in DC. Let me share our little crime problem...

We currently have a guy that the media has dubbed, "The Snuggler". Women have woken up in the middle of the night to find a guy either laying next to them in bed or standing over them attempting to tuck them in at night. They still haven't caught him and it's been 2 years. Now the think there could be more than one snuggler out there. Oh, and for the guys, there's also a snuggler who has been doing the same thing to men while they're sleeping.

So, if I was complete 11/16, and then went complete again 1/18, anyone have any ideas about when I could hear?

After really thinking about my options for law school, Temple has moved up from the bottom of my list to a very, very solid option. I want to stay in the Philly area, and several things this past week have really drilled into me the regional-ness of almost all law schools.

After really thinking about my options for law school, Temple has moved up from the bottom of my list to a very, very solid option. I want to stay in the Philly area, and several things this past week have really drilled into me the regional-ness of almost all law schools.

I was first complete 10/28 and then the date updated to 12/21. I was finally accepted on 1/13 so take from that what you will. It seems that they are a little slow this cycle so who knows. Also, if you look at the Temple Law alumni network in Philly, you can see that they're very strong as long as you stay in the city. Combined with the price tag, it's the reason why I'm choosing them. Even if you pay the sticker price, you're still in for less than 100k which puts you head and shoulders above the rest of the people who will be paying over 150k.

On another note, has anybody in the 1/13-1/14 group of admits received their letters yet? I know mine was supposed to be mailed on the 13th, but if they're anything like Maryland that could mean that they just bought the envelope on the 13th and they mailed it a week later.

My "complete date" changed only once after my application was sent. I believe I was admitted ~seven days after the date was updated. I have a feeling you'll hear from Temple later this week or early next. Good luck in making your decision about where to attend law school...

I never saw that before! I live in Rosslyn which is in Arlington. I know where some of those starbucks coffee shops are.

Yeah, I was accepted via the status checker on the 13th, and I live in DC, so its not that far away. I feel like I should have my packet by now! But oh well, I guess there was a holiday in there, I'll keep waiting... at least I already know, since they told me on the status checker! Yay Temple - that's building some good will right there!

Woo! In via status checker 1/21. GPA around 75th %, LSAT above 75th %.

Not sure of the complete date, as the status checker updated and Temple does not email complete dates. I submitted on 11/16 though, and went complete shortly thereafter. Status checker did not update to "Under Review" until 1/20 (yesterday), and then switched to "Admitted - Congratulations!" today, with a mailing date of 1/21 as well.

I don't mean to sound whiny--and congratulations to all the new acceptances--but WTF Temple? I've been complete since 10/27 and no movement since then. At all. Is it possible they've lost my application somehow? Should I contact them?

same here. complete since 11/6 and no in review or anything. if i don't hear anything by the 29th (12 weeks) im calling in.

In today via status checker. i have been complete since 10/12 and this is the first thing I heard from them so I would not worry if you are not under review, because I went from Complete to Admitted today. I am probably going to attend Temple as I live in Philly now and love the city.
To answer a few posts above mine about where to live, I would suggest living in the city and trying to be close to the Broad Street line to make your morning commute easy. If you live in Mannyunk, you need to take the Regional Rail into the city then transfer to the Broad St line. I live in the Art Museum area now and love it. I am on Fairmount Ave and it has everything I need. I think this part of the city has the best value for rent. It is not the cheapest but is far from the most expensive. Id be glad to answer any questions regarding Philly if any one has them ( I have lived here for 5 years)

From what I've heard, the main campus is very safe all the time, but how safe is it getting to and from the main campus at night? I've heard that the subway isn't too safe during the evening, and that the bus is a better option, but my main source is also my dad who went to Temple during the late 70's, when the campus was much smaller and more dangerous. During the day I'm not worried at all, but what about getting to campus after it gets dark?

at least according to TLS, Temple has bought up a good portion of the neighborhood around the school. i'm sure it's safe; and i'm sure the subway is as safe as a subway could be in a big city like Philly. just be smart.

Temple really isnt that bad anymore with the presence of the lights that they put up throughout the neighborhood, the increased police presence and the fact that they bought up so much of the neighborhood. I went to Penn and hung out at Temple a bunch.
