Has anyone who has been accepted already by my mail online UM login still shows nothing? Also does anybody know when we will hear about scholarships or has anyone recieved notification already?

someone in this tread said that we will have to wait a few weeks for scholarship information, once we have already been accepted.

not sure what you mean by the UMiami login, though.

I just finished my application for UM last night and was wondering how long before I should expect to get an email confirming that they have everything? Also, how long did it take for must of you to get the decision?

i got the complete email in a reasonable amount of time. Also, the admittance came VERY quickly, i was shocked how quickly it came. I applied very early in the cycle, FWIW.

In as of today! The letter says we should be expecting scholarship info within 3 weeks of the initial package, most will be awarded in January and February.

Watching "The U" on ESPN made me want to go back :) (though I didn't apply and don't plan to for personal reasons). Congrats to everyone who got in; you are really going to love it.

so i'm on hold at the U...

i talked with them and they said to send anything that would let them know more about who i am as an applicant...

i'm already sending another rec from the state administrator of the group i volunteer with. where do you draw the line on what to send?

i was a professional stage performer for 5 years... should i send stuff that has to do with that? i.e. reviews, reels, etc? where do i draw the line?

this seems to speak to who you are as an application on a personal level. I gave them similar (non-academically similar) info in my PS. I think this kind of information will make you stand out as diverse is a way to the Adcoms. Maybe you could write this into another PS-type essay. go for it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
