This is one of my big reach schools, but I would absolutely LOVE to go to SMU.

3.4, 161, coming straight from UG. I have some softs, work experience for all of college, internships with a nonprofit international law society, and some academic awards.

Cross your fingers for me!

Last year, those whose status date changed to the Tuesday before the end of January were accepted. This year, that would translate to those of us with 1/26.

Pretty bummed. No status checker update. 163/3.5, thought I would have had a good shot...

Here's to hoping! Anyone have insight into Wake v SMU? I've lived in the North my entire life (NH, Maine, and NYC) - I'd like to move to the warm weather. I'm lucky in that I won't be coming out with debt, so based on that, any suggestions?

Last year, the ones with the Tuesday status checker date changes got phone calls on Thursday and Friday. It looks like what you don't want to see is "decision rendered." Those looked to be rejections.

last year calls were made to the first people with their status changed 2 days after the status change.

Looks like admits had the status change. I still have no change and my current numbers are borderline ("Consider" on LSP), although my Feb. re-take will (hopefully) change that.

are you PT? it seems last year the PT applicants who were first accepted had their status checkers updated the day after FT applicants did...

Mine changed today! 161, 3.5x, so not a definite in but we'll see.... I applied in November but I retook the December LSAT so my file wasn't technically complete in time for ED.

When does it come?

That will be the biggest deciding factor for me. My parents want me to go to SMU since they both did.
