Re: NYU 2010
Submitted 11/2, first "receipt" email 11/10, complete today 11/17. Guess my wait wasn't really that bad compared with some of you guys. Think Mich might be the only school where I'm not yet complete.

Re: NYU 2010
Submitted: 11/08
Acknowledgement email: 11/17
Complete email: ???
Question: I applied ED, next-day mailing the ED contract back on 11/08 when I applied. So I'm pretty positive they had access to everything by the deadline. Should I be concerned that (A) they didn't acknowledge receipt until two days after the 15th, and (B) it's the generic receipt email with no mention that I'm an ED applicant?

Re: NYU 2010
I applied ED on 11/14 (was waiting for all my letters of rec to be received), LSAC confirmed a report request on the 15th, they sent the report on the 16th and I got a letter on the 17th acknowledging receipt of my application. Do you guys think I'll be considered in the ED pool even though I haven't gotten a complete e-mail yet? I did send it before the 15th with the signed contract scanned and included in the online app, but after reading this they look like total slugs. I go here undergrad and I find that surprising, they are usually really quick with other administrative things.

They send out a lot of waivers. This cycle it seemed most people with 169, 3.9 or better got one.babin.6 wrote:Just got a Fee waiver from NYU. What does a fee waiver mean as far as chances go at NYU? Do they send out a lot or normally only waive people that they will let in?

Joining the thread. Just sent in my application--that thing was a beast (with all the scholarship essays). Good luck everyone!

Just submitted my app, I was pleasantly surprised to find out I had a fee waiver as it seems I wasn't notified. Good luck to everyone!

Re: NYU 2010
My cycle has now officially begun, as I was waitlisted today at Duke. The law school admission cycle is already much less fun than I was hoping for. At this point, a decision (hopefully a good one) from my ED school can't possibly come soon enough.

Re: NYU 2010
anyone know why NYU is so slow? I've been complete everywhere for a while except for NYU (submitted 10/31). I know this is normal for NYU but why so slow?

You can call to find out if you are complete. I did this today to make sure I had everything in for ED. They were very quick and informative

Re: NYU 2010
Seriously man you will probably get into NYU. They really aren't much harder to get into than UVA---really with their massive class size it wouldn't make sense for them to reject you. It's very easy for them to swallow your GPA--but not very easy for them to keep up their high LSAT range and get a Black male. Talib will definitely get into NYU if he applies.hopefulundergrad wrote:I don't know what all you guys are bitching about. I only have to wait 5 more months for my WL letter!
