Accepted early decision at UVA Forum

I'm considering applying to UVA, does anyone know how friendly they are towards non-trad students? I'm blind and would like to know if it's worth it, even though my LSAT is a little low for their school, I think it my medical condition might help some.

Sadly I'm not sure on this myself. I can say that having 5 years of work experience and a PS about "overcoming adversity" helped me overcome an abysmal GPA. Most people with my GPA are not even given a second look here. They do take different factors into consideration and try to develope a truly diverse student body. I'd say it's probably worth the application, especially if you have a strong GPA.

I got an E-mail asking me to give them a phone call. I called and they notified me over the phone. This seems to have been the overall pattern last year and I've heard similar things from people this year.

from your experience this cycle...what is the average turnaround for acceptances? what about rejections?..do they drag people around or tell them right away if they are rejected?

I submitted my application for ED Saturday, got the status checker email Monday morning, but my status checker has yet to say "Complete." Everything is in. Should I call/email the office? Wait longer?

They reject you fast if they're not going to take you.

I just realized I would be really happy if I got in. I initially wasn't going to early anywhere, but then decided to take the shot with UVA while I still had it. My numbers aren't too strong, so I figured it was my best shot of an actual acceptance... 167/3.7
