Cynical me says it's because of Facebook's slow decline. The idealist in me says I have more of a chance.trenhardeatclen wrote:2017 fb group - 785 memberspint wrote:How much smaller are we talking?kelloggcookiemonster wrote: Thanks! Last year on May 2nd there were 547 people in the group. We're not exactly at that time yet, but it's usually lower around this time of year and then ends in the 700's.trenhardeatclen wrote:2017 fb group - 785 memberspint wrote:How much smaller are we talking?kelloggcookiemonster wrote: Thanks! I think it'll come this Friday or early next week! That's what we can safely expect from previous cycles

Last year's first wave (happened in a single day, I believe) resulted in 24/40 interview slots being filledtrenhardeatclen wrote:do you know how many JS1's generally are sent out?itookthelsat wrote:I think it'll come this Friday or early next week! Last year looked like:kr2 wrote:Do we know when the first JS2s went out (including to those who already interviewed)? Do you guys think things will be more delayed than usual given that the waitlist email said "We will begin to review the waitlist in late May"?ftge232 wrote:Last year's first wave (happened in a single day, I believe) resulted in 24/40 interview slots being filledtrenhardeatclen wrote:do you know how many JS1's generally are sent out?itookthelsat wrote:I think it'll come this Friday or early next week! super interesting data! thanks for compilingkr2 wrote:Playing around with some numbers. Obviously the data is incomplete, but I thought it might be interesting to see. Especially since we haven't figured out our own spreadsheet!

- Median LSAT - 170 (25th/75th: 168, 173)
Median GPA - 3.76 (25th/75th: 3.67, 3.9)Using the spreadsheet from the applicants thread:
- Median LSAT - 174 (25th/75th: 171, 176)
Median GPA - 3.85 (25th/75th: 3.78, 3.96)
- 25 on the waitlist- 145 accepted

Median GPA - 3.71 (25th/75th: 3.64, 3.81)

Wasn't last year's first JS1 wave "tomorrow" so to speak? Wasn't the first wave on the thursday of the first week of May?

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2019 Waitlist
Based on the info. from the past two years, JS1s started about 2-3 work days after the May 1st deadline. So, yes, I think it's a good bet that the first wave will start this week (likely tomorrow.)scubasteve12 wrote:Wasn't last year's first JS1 wave "tomorrow" so to speak? I think** they came out at about 2PM EST, from what I remember from last year's waitlist thread. Would be worth a look though.

I think interview seats were open a day prior, though. Can anyone check to see if slots are available?scubasteve12 wrote:kelloggcookiemonster wrote:What time did they come out last year?

Lurker here just checking in.
I was wondering how much LSAT/GPA matter in the waitlist. Would other factors such as work experience, background, and other soft qualities matter more now?
