Same! I was really surprised, it was a lot higher than UCI's offer. I was really leaning towards UCI until tonight, but now its the reverse.

Same here! It looks like I'll be headed to Davis in the Fall barring a more compelling offer from one of my waitlists.

Sorry to pry, but could you guys give some insight on how much larger Davis was over Irvine?
Also PMed you, sorry about the late response

Hey folks,
I'm still trying to decide between Davis and other excellent schools, and I haven't toured the campus yet. I've lived in Sacramento for most of my life, and if I choose Davis I'll probably continue to live in Sacramento rather than move to Davis. I'm happy to answer any questions y'all might have about living in Sacramento if you're looking at doing something similar. It's an easy commute, so if you want to live in a bigger city rather than a small college town, it could be a good choice.
Cheers

Finally at evaluation in progress. Maybe the backlog is starting to clear out and it will move quickly from here. Well hopefully anyway...

How long were you in the Awaiting Evaluation stage? I've been stuck there since January 29th....

I was only there since 3/1. Your wait is absurd.

I agree! I understand they're slow, but it is getting ridiculous. I'm a nontraditional applicant and a splitter and it just comes with the territory. Best of luck to you, I hope they make a decision soon.

ETA: Waitlisted? Incredibly surprised, but meh, whatever.
I'm sorry, that is a bummer. At least you have an answer. I'm honestly expecting a rejection and am moving forward with other plans, but it would be nice to know for sure. Which school did you decide on?

I'm still torn on my decision, but it's a toss up between UW and UCI. Maybe your good news is coming soon!

I hope so! You have two really good options there. I'm actually a UW grad and live in Seattle but was born and raised in Orange County and want to move back to CA. I'm still waiting on a decision from UCI myself! Crossing my fingers

Received my admission notice e-mail on March 31. Just today (April 1) I received my financial aid info which included a scholarship quite a bit larger than I was expecting (and putting UC Davis into serious consideration)

Waitlisted. That makes the number of my waitlist school to ten.

Submitted 1/26, went complete a few days later, but just moved from Awaiting Evaluation to Evaluation in Progress today after being there for over 2 months.
I'm pretty set on another school at this point. I'm expecting a waitlist or rejection from UC Davis.

It would be rad if they sent us a "We haven't forgotten about you" courtesy email and an offer to reimburse another school's seat deposit if we decide to commit
