Didn't get an email either...
This kind of waiting is like a torture for me...

If you don't have a decent sized scholarship, you should not attend. I'm graduating this year and luckily did very well. But I know many that are 150k+ in debt and are not biglaw-bound.
Do not underestimate how soul crushing debt can be. If your total COA for ND is gonna be more than 150k, I would automatically disqualify.

That was my plan. I don't see how it could possibly be worth all the debt without a good sized scholarship

Even if you manage to snag biglaw, it's still gonna suck at 200k debt. Basically, winning is also losing.

Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter in the mail without getting the email first?

Received my letter in the mail today! Nice handwritten note from the dean of admissions- great personal touch. According to the letter, the scholarship committee convenes in February and we learn shortly after that.

Good to hear these are arriving! When was it mailed and was it a small envelope or the large priority envelopes they show on twitter? Also are you in Indiana or ? Thank you. The wait is a killer

Beware- the mail is not bringing all good news today.
Just now wait listed from ND in a small regular envelope.

It was one of the large priority envelopes. Not sure when it was mailed but I assume Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm in Boston, so I would assume it's reaching everyone soon! Best of luck!

I wonder if the decisions sent 12/8 were acceptances, and today's were dings and WLs? I know one person with a 169 got the decision yesterday.
Might make sense cuz I didn't write the "optional" essay
That's what I'm afraid of too.

Look all above...Decision on 12/8 are in...so maybe your guess is true...sad for both of us
It looks that way, but we don't know for sure, maybe it will be good news.

You might be able to get off the waitlist, don't give up just yet. If you look at last years thread and LSN, they get a lot of people off of the waitlist.
Mind sending me your complete date(s) and stats?

Not yet. I may have gotten it today, but didn't have time to run by and check my mailbox. Since I didn't get an email or a two day priority envelope, I assume that I, too, will be getting waitlisted (or dinged) via the envelope of sadness.

Congrats to all others admitted and best of luck to those who are waiting to hear back!
Thanks! I have no seat deposit info, so that answers that question. Thanks for the info. Now at least I won't be too disappointed after opening the envelope.
To anyone who hasn't applied yet: the optional essays are not optional - even if you're above both medians, write it!

I echo this sentiment. I got waitlisted with an above median GPA and a median LSAT. Did none of the "optional" essays.

I don't usually post because my Daughter is the OL. However this may help those still applying. As others have said write the optional essay...My D did not initially write one because she had expressed interest via visiting in the late summer and assumed that to be enough. In late November she received an email from admissions asking her to reconsider her choice not to write the essay, so she wrote one. She was admitted in the first wave.
It seems like NDLS needs to make the essay part of the application, not optional.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
