Anyone hear anything over the weekend? I am coming up on the 1-month mark and it appears this is around the time that folks start receiving responses... My guess is that UW is looking at the Feb LSAT scores... thoughts??

Re: University of Washington School of Law c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Question about the waitlist. Decision letter states:
"The Admissions Committee has all the information necessary to make its final decisions – no additional documentations, letters of continued interest, or letters of recommendation are necessary."
Does this mean that I shouldn't send a LOCI? It may not be necessary, but is it still a good idea? I don't want to piss off the adcomms by sending them letters they specifically don't want but I also don't want to miss an opportunity to demonstrate my commitment. I couldn't find any clarifying information on the website so I'd love to hear thoughts from others on the waitlist or anyone who's been in a similar situation.
Thanks!

In via email today. No call as I am currently working in Tokyo. UW is one of my top choices. My wife is from there. I want to practice law in the PNW.

Current 1L at UW. I was deciding between Minnesota and UW during my application cycle. Let me know if you have any questions on that front. I went to the asd for Minn., and researched both schools to make my decision.mcmand wrote:They say that, but you'd be a fool not to lobby for yourself. I say this as someone who got off the waitlist - I did a LOCI and had fresh new LORs from new people. Keep in mind you still may not hear until after the deposit deadline.
Addendum: Looking at your other posts, why do you want to do a LOCI if you're going to accept at Minnesota? Minnesota's a great law school, and if you're not deadset on UW, you're just taking up a spot on the waitlist for other students who really want it. If it's for scholarships, you won't get any, in all likelihood. By the time people come off the waitlists, scholarships have already been doled out and there aren't any more to give. Just some food for thought.

I really enjoyed your work in "Boo's the Hoss".
Also regarding the essays for scholarships, do you know if they frown on us reusing an essay from our original application?

I wrote this early this morning, before I read the instructions for the essays (d'oh). So they will have access to our full application. Guess I better write two essays quick.fliptrip wrote:I would definitely think so.robertwabisabi wrote:Thanks Mr. Tanza.dony_tanza wrote:Congrats!robertwabisabi wrote:In via email today. Both schools have kind of so-so employment numbers, but Minnesota is higher ranked. What ultimately tipped the scales away from Minn and over to UW for you? (Obviously, Gates Hall probably didn't hurt... It's gorgeous.)JonTheMandamus wrote:Current 1L at UW. I was deciding between Minnesota and UW during my application cycle. Thanks for the feedback mcmand! I haven't made any decisions yet, still trying to figure out the best course of action. I've got a lot of family in Washington and would love to keep it as an option.CJRpnw wrote:Both schools have kind of so-so employment numbers, but Minnesota is higher ranked. Jon, I second CJRpnw's question, I'd love to know what tipped the scales for you.

Anyone think decisions will be out today? Went into review 2/5. Am an absolute anxious mess. 3.9 gpa, good experience/awards from both major departments, but only 160 LSAT. UW by far my top choice.

You really can't ever predict anything - not even the time of day. I got my decision round 5:30pm Pacific. So, knowing that, now you get to be anxious well into the afternoon!klove88 wrote:Anyone think decisions will be out today? Went into review 2/5.
