How long does it take after being accepted to learn about merit scholarships? I was accepted recently with 75%+ numbers, but I didn't see anything about scholarships in the four emails that came.

On a related note, do I need to complete a FAFSA to get merit aid?

Check your spam folder. Most folks' scholarship email ended up there for whatever reason.

still on the waitlist but i haven't sent in my loci yet. Planning on sending one in by tmrw.

I called a couple weeks back and spoke with the director of admissions, and she said any significant waitlist movement will happen when 1st seat deposits are due since that's when they'll know who's committed or not.

Withdrew the other day, so hopefully that creates a spot for people waiting to hear back and on the waitlist. Best of luck!

Applied 1/7, waitlisted on 3/9. Sent my LOCI the next day to Dean Bridges and CC'd the admissions office. How long did it take most to get movement off the waitlist?

Just as a benchmark, I was waitlisters in January and haven't seen any movement. The admissions office has said nothing significant will happen before April

Denied. Didn't get an email or anything about it, but they sent a letter I believe will be coming soon.
They changed my status: "Your request for admission was denied" on the Status Checker.
Complete: 2/2, Decision: 3/9

I've been lurking around for a while, but never posted in this particular thread. Just as some hope, I applied in October, was waitlisted in February, sent in a LOCI and two weeks later was admitted.

Applied early Jan, and received a waitlist letter in the mail yesterday morning. Won't be trying to get off that waitlist. Good luck to everyone else!

I just thought I would share that UGA sent me the same rejection letter via mail THREE times in a matter of a couple of weeks. I think they really wanted to rub it in.. lol
