It really doesn't matter. Interview invites didn't go out until the middle of October last year and admits won't happen until January at the earliest.gobears!! wrote:I submitted 8/15 at around 9:00 and did not go UR until yesterdaylinguafranca90 wrote:Ugh why is it taking so long to move from Complete to Under Review?! Some people have to have their apps read before other people. Please do not call them unless you want to be considered a complete asshole. It has been like a week.linguafranca90 wrote:Not cool, Chicago. Judging from last year's thread, it looks like we're 1-2 weeks quicker than they were. Is it ridiculous to think we can see interview invites 1-2 weeks earlier than we did last year?

That sounds like a reasonable assumption!doublehoohopeful wrote:Judging from last year's thread, it looks like we're 1-2 weeks quicker than they were. Is it ridiculous to think we can see interview invites 1-2 weeks earlier than we did last year?
Has Chicago sent out fee waivers/are people expecting it to later? Trying to decide if I should apply now or wait.

I don't think anyone has received waivers this cycle as of yet, but I have heard they are responsive to requests.barley wrote:That sounds like a reasonable assumption!doublehoohopeful wrote:Judging from last year's thread, it looks like we're 1-2 weeks quicker than they were. No problem. They say they don't honor individual requests on their website, but people have done it successfully.barley wrote:Hmm I'll try asking then and report back. Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
There's a criteria and they don't accept solicitations from general applicants, but three days after I asked and was turned down I got one in my email. I'm not sure if me asking had any impact, though. The worst thing they can say is no; it's worth a shot.doublehoohopeful wrote:No problem.
