Might also be interesting in the next few weeks to have a "where people are depositing"-type poll.

Not that I agree with staying on, but why do people characterize someone staying on the WL as potentially ruining someone else's chances? If they are unwilling to commit isn't it delaying someone else's chances for a couple days?

I think it's less the possibility of someone being unwilling to 100% commit than when someone says they're only on it so they can say they turned it down. when people say things like "needlessly depriving someone of a once in a lifetime opportunity," I just do not understand how that makes sense.middlebear wrote:I think it's less the possibility of someone being unwilling to 100% commit than when someone says they're only on it so they can say they turned it down. Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
Checking in - I was honestly shocked to get waitlisted instead of outright rejected. I have a couple apps still pending (Yale, Stanford, Columbia) but pending those I'll be making a deposit at UVA and riding it out until classes start.

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
Id be very surprised if they don't require updated transcripts that's another semester or years worth of data they can use. However , I'm unsure if application GPA or final GPA is what is reported for purposes of class profiles (but I imagine it's final which would add to motivation to require updated transcripts)

Yea I'd imagine all of this as well but, on the off-chance they report what they got in the application, we'd be imagining incorrectly... Anyone know what actually happens here? The thinker wrote:Id be very surprised if they don't require updated transcripts that's another semester or years worth of data they can use. Checking in - finally worked through my mixed WL emotions enough to start checking TLS again!
Can't wait to get some movement on this and see what the end result is!

did HLS send an email requesting an updated transcript? Or is this just a general discussion?

General discussion that (I believe) I started as I contemplate how much effort to put into studying for an exam I have later todayqwertyTLS wrote:did HLS send an email requesting an updated transcript? Or is this just a general discussion?

Exact same boat. Like 90% sure its CLS but hoping negotiation with NYU results in a little money.DK21 wrote:Trying to choose btwn NYU and Columbia. Anyone in the same boat?
