Don't do iiiitttt. Just keep going and don't look back, man.... Your options are way better than mine. I'm very disappointed how my cycle is turning out. 3/21 is not a great stat.

WL: GW, Notre Dame, WUSTL, Emory
Denied: UPenn, Duke, GULC, UMich, UVA, NYU, USC, UCLA

Why shouldn't he retake if he wants to? Nothing bad will happen if he does worse, and good things can happen if he does well. Bad advice.Don't do iiiitttt. Calm yo self. It was just a joke meant like "don't torture yourself and enjoy the summer".Winston1984 wrote:Why shouldn't he retake if he wants to? Re: Waitlist Championships- class of 2018
I was waitlisted at my top choice and considered retaking as well. I already took it twice and there wasn't much movement in my score. Each time I took it, however, was at a very busy/stressful period in my life. I'm thinking that if I don't get into my top choice this year, I'll reapply next year. If I take in June, this would be right after my graduation (which I intend on celebrating fully). If I retake in October and apply early decision, then I have the whole summer to study BUT I wouldn't have the benefits of taking it in June... I'm leaning more towards October if I don't get off the waitlist but then again I REALLY want to get in this cycle...

Re: Waitlist Championships- class of 2018
Updated. I'm now 7/8 on schools I've heard back from. Others may have me in quantity, but I think an 87.5% waitlist outcome is a pretty impressive achievement. If I can go 3/3 on waitlists in the final three, I'll surpass the 90% mark.oaktown wrote:Applied: Harvard, Stanford, Chicago, NYU, Columbia, Cal, Duke, Georgetown, Penn, Michigan, UVA

Stupid Cal for ruining my perfect waitlist season. I blame a bitter admissions office after I turned down their undergrad offer a few years back. Or at least that's the excuse I'm sticking with.

Applied 3
Waitlist 1/3 (UNC)
Accepted 2/3 (UF & FSU)
3.46 162
Trying to decide if I should retake in June or October for next cycle, any thoughts?

Re: Waitlist Championships- class of 2018
February acceptances brought March waitlists for me, now hoping some April/May flowers are ahead. LSAT 170, GPA garbage.
Accepted: GULC, WUSTL, GW, Minnesota, W&M, UC Davis
WL: Michigan, Northwestern, Emory (priority), UCLA
BTW is there a list of what schools explicitly split out a priority waitlist?

Wait listed at UNC does anyone know how soon they may start to release and does it help to submit extra info like an addendum regarding grades or an interest statement?

Re: Waitlist Championships- class of 2018
I've finally heard back from all the schools to which I applied! 8 acceptances & 3 waitlists. Went ahead & declined acceptance at 6, deposited at 2, removed myself from the waitlist at W&M and WUSTL but I plan on riding out the waitlist at Vandy, though I highly doubt I stand a chance. Anyone here have any idea how much movement is usually seen from Vanderbilt's waitlist?

Anyone know where that waitlist thread is with the historical outcomes of staying on the waitlist at particular schools is?bluehose wrote:I've finally heard back from all the schools to which I applied! 8 acceptances & 3 waitlists. Pancakes - Are you seriously considering any of those WL schools?

I'm on a priority waitlist for one of the schools, so I'm hopeful there. Went and visited one of the other schools this last weekend, and I left feeling positive.

For a bit I was, but not anymore. I've decided I really want to live in CO, even after law school, so the only one I would go for would be Colorado/Boulder and that would have to include $$. Otherwise I'll be at University of Denver this fall.kptibolt wrote:Pancakes - Are you seriously considering any of those WL schools?

Pancakes - I am literally in the exact same boat (minus the interview at CU). Priority WL at CU, and in at DU w big $$. Will go to DU if not admitted to CU.

Final tally:
Waitlisted: Harvard, Duke (Priority), Georgetown, Penn, Michigan, Chicago, NYU, Columbia, UVA
Denied: Cal, Stanford
Accepted: NOWHERE
I think I win this year. An 80%+ wait list rate is insane. I find it funny that the only schools to ding me were the two schools that accepted me back as an undergrad.

International student, really strong softs, applied really late in the cycle though. LSAT 169.

Wow that's rough, sorry to hear. At least you're going to get pretty pro at writing LOCIs. Did you apply late?oaktown wrote:Final tally:

Reapply earlier next cycle. Sorry about the rough go of things! (Unless you get $$ off a waitlist)syncho wrote:I think I won this cycle. Final tally.
