Yeah I'll second November to March at least, some winters it can go as late as May though (lookin at you 2013-2014). We get a good amount of snow and quite a few days below 0* Fahrenheit, so definitely bring or purchase some warm clothes if you end up going to the U. But aside from the harsh winters, minneapolis is absolutely wonderful. We have beautiful autumns and very warm summers, with lots of woods and lakes to play in. Plus we are very bike friendly and have decent metro transit so you can more or less survive without a car in minneapolis, something I know you've asked about in the wustl thread.
Hope that helps!

Got the packet in the mail today, full ride scholarship! Far below their 25th percentile GPA so I really wasn't expecting a full ride at any school let alone a T20. UMN is definitely very high on my list now.

The appeal of pond hockey everywhere strongly pulls me towards Minny.

Got my packet today with a full ride scholarship, beyond excited. Grew up in Minnesota and love the state/cities.

ha. i've lived in southern california most my life so i can definitely get where hes coming from

seems like a disproportionately large amount of good law schools are in cold places

Finally came home from college for a weekend to open my packet. Full non-residential tuition! I thought I might get to that eventually, but I didn't think they'd offer it to me right off the bat. Minnesota will definitely be one of my top choices.

received a full tuition scholarship too, looks like UMN is very generous.
If only it's not that cold...

I'm curious how they can manage to give out so many full tuition scholarships. My guess is there are very few/none lower scholarships, or they will let in a massive transfer class, like past years.

My status tracker originally had a date underneath the status of the application. Today I checked and underneath "In Review" the date tracker disappeared. Did this happen to anyone else?

My dates disappeared today. And it looks like the message at the top has been trimmed down. Now it just says the line about 8 weeks.
Anyone experience this already and can shed some light? Decision soon?

They're probably banking on most of those people not actually attending. They probably have stats that will get them into a t14, which many will go to even though it will cost them way more money.
