No, I don't live far enough away for it to be an issue, but I'm sure if you email or call them, they would help!cuboxing25 wrote:has anyone else asked about travel vouchers for admitted student day?

I would be interested in hearing what they say if you do ask. I'll be coming from California so it would be awesome if they do offer some kind of stipend.cuboxing25 wrote:Yeah I was thinking of giving it a shot.Avlyre wrote:No, I don't live far enough away for it to be an issue, but I'm sure if you email or call them, they would help!cuboxing25 wrote:has anyone else asked about travel vouchers for admitted student day?

I asked. They politely said no.

Yes! He even referenced the things I talked about in my PS. It's a nice touch from the admissions office!calawgrl wrote:Did anyone else get a handwritten post card from admissions? I just got it and it's so nice they took the time to write this out.

So how many folks on here were placed on "Hold"? Trying to get a sense of the size of this category.

Does anyone know what day of the week decisions are typically released?

Mine and a lot of others came out last Friday. Actually I would say the majority of my decisions have been released on Fridays.watkinshm wrote:Does anyone know what day of the week decisions are typically released?

I got an email saying that they'll make one around April, I think. We'll be invited after the deposit is paid, if I remember correctly.cuboxing25 wrote:is their an admitted student facebook page?

Is anyone looking for housing yet? I've found a pretty nice place on the bus line, 405$ a month with utilities, but I need to find roommates. If anyone is interested, PM me! It's available on June 1st.

I think we have to put the deposit down before we can see the facebook page, though. :/ I know I'm going to UNC but I keep procrastinating on the deposit!kinseyjo wrote:alright I've officially decided on UNC! wish I could go to admitted student's weekend but it's just going to be too pricey... ready to start looking for housing/roommates! Re: UNC Law c/o 2018 (2014-15 cycle)
So, found a nice 2bd/1.5ba (shared shower, each gets their own mirror/sink/toilet, etc) for 710$ a month, split by bedroom, 355$. There is a utilities package ($220/m for water/sewer/trash/internet/cable/electricity) which would be split 3 ways (myself, my fiance, and you, or 4 ways if you bring a significant other). It's on the C and J bus lines, there's a bus stop right outside the complex, and it's 1.5miles from UNC. We've put a hold deposit down on it, so if anyone wants the other bedroom, it would only be a 25$ app fee per person. They do allow pets, but you would be responsible for the pet deposit/fee. The property is Carolina Apartments (http://www.gscapts.com/apartments/Carrb ... 0/gsc/4509), and the move-in date would be June 1st. Please PM me if you're interested, or if you want to know anything else!

Only one month left until we'll all know if we're in or not. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
