Someone else correct me if I'm wrong but I am pretty sure Indiana is one of the schools where if you enroll as a non-resident then you pretty much remain a non-resident for the second and third years. If you are moving there for the main purpose of higher education then you will have an extremely difficult time obtaining residency.RancidSumo wrote:Was just accepted today. Does anyone know how scholarships work if you change resident status? I plan on becoming a resident after one year wherever I end up but need to know if the scholarship amount is decreased if I do that.

I think you have to have been living in Indiana for non-school-related purposes for like a year before beginning law school to ever be considered a resident at IU.organize56 wrote:Someone else correct me if I'm wrong but I am pretty sure Indiana is one of the schools where if you enroll as a non-resident then you pretty much remain a non-resident for the second and third years. I just or an unsolicited email saying that I was eligible for a $75,000 scholarship based on academics and being non resident. Is this common and will I be automatically accepted and definitely get this scholarship? I haven't applied ut but trying to figure out if this spam or legit. Thanks!

It's just marketing; based on the information they have on you from LSAC they are saying that you are "eligible" to get that kind of money.Rstein888 wrote:I just or an unsolicited email saying that I was eligible for a $75,000 scholarship based on academics and being non resident. Obviously they can't make a bonafide commitment without your application materials....

2.74 and 163, which is why I was surprised by potential scholarship amount

They might like that LSAT. If you're interested in working in Indiana once you graduate, it's not the worst school with some good scholly. Worth a shot maybe? I'm sure you could get a fee waiver.Rstein888 wrote:2.74 and 163, which is why I was surprised by potential scholarship amount
