Care to elaborate a bit more?lester wrote:I had one in December. Mostly just why UCLA, with a few standard interview questions (like "greatest challenge," etc.). WL via email just now. Expected to be outright rejected, so I'm taking this as good news for now.

I personally haven't, and there isn't any on LSN either, so I don't think they have sent any yet. Anyone know the typical timeline here?Dipper wrote:Any admits hear about $$ yet?

WL via email. In my gmail promotions folder, so I missed it yesterday. I guess this does not bode well for me chance at T14.

In previous years they told people initial offers on the phone when they made the admit call. Guess they're doing it differently this year.lawschool1741 wrote:I personally haven't, and there isn't any on LSN either, so I don't think they have sent any yet. Can anyone go into more detail about the questions asked in the admissions interview?

Can someone who got Epstein please tell me how they let you know? I was accepted in October through the fast-track option but I was really hoping to get into Epstein.
Does anyone happen to know whether Epstein acceptance is rolling or whether they just announce all at once?
Thanks y'all.

I found out on the admit call. I believe it's rolling - they usually let in about 45 people, and it seems like they have a waitlist for it as well. A friend of mine got into Epstein late in the cycle last year after getting in off the WL.fourbuckchuck wrote:Can someone who got Epstein please tell me how they let you know? I was told I didn't get into Epstein when they called to say they admitted me. So they seem to tell you if you are definitely in or definitely out when they admit you. What that means beyond that they apparently haven't made up their mind on your case, I don't know. And yeah you can apply again after 1L but it's more competitive at that point, or so I've been told.Dipper wrote:I found out on the admit call. Re: UCLA School of Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
Last year we received a letter saying you have been admitted to Epstein/PILP. There were 25 or so in the 1L Epstein class of 320 or so 1L's. You can apply as a 2L but they don't take very many people. Most of the people that did get in this year had significant work experience and tended to be older students. Only a handful had 1 or 2 years of work experience. The way I would describe the cohort who was admitted is people whose work history shows a commitment to public service. The 1L's who got into the school but not Epstein tended to be younger and only had volunteered in public interest rather than worked in public interest for several years.

I'd do it to get in front of the admissions people and get your name in their head. It can't hurt.leslieknope wrote:Anyone know if visiting is actually something that would go on your file? I live like 20 minutes away from UCLA and reading through this thread has made me increasingly paranoid about YP/regretful that I didn't write why UCLA, lol.
