Mine's also blank. Yesterday it had said "Application Complete" with an updated date (10/22, changed from I think 10/13 or something close to that).

Interviewed on Wednesday and also blank. I don't think we should worry about it?

Do you think there is any disadvantage in interviewing with a 3L instead of an admissions officer? I flew out to Chicago for the interview only to have a very informal conversation with a 3L. While it was a good conversation, it was a bit underwhelming. I really wanted to interview someone more directly involved in admissions. Blah. Should I even be concerned?

Current student at NU Law here. Do not be concerned, childe Roland. Talking to someone more directly involved in admissions isn't possible, because that 3L was on the admissions committee. You'll be fine. :)Tr3 wrote:Do you think there is any disadvantage in interviewing with a 3L instead of an admissions officer? There aren't anymore skype interview slots available on the calendar thing, and I don't have the option to do the other two. Would I be extremely disadvantaged if I didn't interview? Should I email admissions about the skype availability?

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
This is not altogether accurate. Around 1/3 of the current students I talk to did not complete an interview. Don't think of your admissions portfolio as a checklist. Think of it as merely as an accumulation of things that tell the committee about you. Not having an interview won't hurt you -- it is merely one less thing in your portfolio that paints the picture of you.rion91 wrote:yeah def do an interview. unless you got reallllyy good numbersbound wrote:There aren't anymore skype interview slots available on the calendar thing, and I don't have the option to do the other two. Any specific questions that theyll ask? Will they grill me on my k-jd status?

not IME, but they might ask you some q's that could be easier for someone with full-time WE to answer, like leadership style/experiencecanadianbrother wrote:Any specific questions that theyll ask? Will they grill me on my k-jd status?

I remember seeing a file floating around that was the actual interviewer handbook, can someone post a link if they have it?

Very relaxed, laid back, conversational. It really sold me to the school and they asked mainly questions from that list.

Had my interview today. Very smooth and my interviewer was super chill and personable. Just to add to what everyone else is saying, the questions posted in here are pretty much spot on. Obviously know why you want NU and law in general.

Checking in. Just submitted. No status checker yet, but not too concerned because I have time. I want them to hold my app until I take my December LSAT. Though hoping to get the interview in soon!

The interview really sold me to the school. Would deff take it over any of MVPBDNCG (at equal cost of course)
