It was amazing.
Here, if anyone else wants to watch.
It's a little cheesy, but probably effective.
Lol'd at "rigor and prestige", but yeah, that was pretty good.

I guess the opposite is true for GULC. If you get an interview you should definitely be nervous
No way -GULC interviews are for YP. HLS lol just lol at anything being "likely"

hmmm that's the first time i'm hearing that. i've seen a lot of posts saying interviews are for borderline candidates.

that second thread actually talks about YP too, but most people say interviews are for borderline candidates. Then again, this is all anecdotal evidence on an anonymous internet forum, and none of these posters are GULC admissions officers, so there's no way of knowing who's right.

omg these are great. If I were an adcomm I would totally make applicants do this. Way more fun than reading striver essays.

LLH, are you gonna do it??

I'm not sure. they say they're trying to do them for as many applicants as possible.
there are none in my city though (or anywhere nearby) so I can't do it.

Just got this too. If they're saying 8-15 applicants per group interview. There's no way they can even get 10% of applicants. and theres none in the southeast so i cant go.

LLH maybe u and I could do a group vid i think that would really catch the adcomm's eyes we could have some catchy slogan

"we may not see eye to eye all the time, but one thing we do agree on: georgetown law would be a dream come true!" *cut to doves being released into a bucolic sun set*

Checking in...

Applied ED on the 15th...someone please tell me if this scheme is crazy, but as I understand it, Gtown gets back to its ED applicants within 3 weeks. Technically, wouldn't this make it possible to get deferred in the first week of October and apply to another dream school ED.

I can't be the only one to have thought of this.

Thanks, I feel pretty clever. My parents do alright.

Anyone care to speculate ad nauseam about how group interviews will affect our applications? I really have a hard time believing they can hold it against anyone for not going...but how much could it really help? Seems like it couldn't be more than a feather on a scale, but that's based on almost nothing at all.

I had a group interview. Although I'm sure there wasn't any substance I added to my application by interviewing, the simple facts of just showing up on time, presenting yourself in a good light, etc., will go a long way if GULC is where you want to be.

Was the interview during a week day?

Also, just submitted Georgetown's App tonight.

I work in NYC and can't miss that day at work (Oct.1st)...and unfortunately the other NYC date falls after I'm expecting to hear back about ED. A little stressful, I'm pretty much a perfect splitter at Gtown and the interview would have made me feel a little better about my app.

I guess it's the waiting game here on out. Excited to hear how these go for other people, though. Good luck!

Too early to start talking about status updates?

I went complete on 9/15 and haven't noticed any changes since. I've seen from past year threads that "complete" status updates 3 times, but I guess I don't know what that means...as weird as that may sound. Anyone been through this able to shed light on status updates at Gtown?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
