Just a friendly reminder: We only really have 1 actual "bar" - Macados restaurant with a section for drinks. The other bar, Southern Inn, is pricey but pretty nice. Not an everyday bar for most people though. Lastly, don't go to Palms unless you wanna have a bad time

Flights are cheaper for Feb28 than March 28. Like Attax will confirm later.

haha, it's a townie bar that nobody from the law school really goes to. Some do, sometimes, but I never hear good things about their experience. Plus, everyone is always at Macs. Go to Macs, especially for ASW and you'll meet a load of law school students. Talk to them and they'll give you real talk. Maybe you'll meet me there as I drink for a living.

If you get McShay it'll be pretty laid back and casual.

For those going to the February 28-March 1 ASW, who is staying 2 nights (Fri/Sat), and planning on doing the closing reception or going out?

From earlier, Jan. 16th conversation:
Also, to note. I've never heard of a single person being able to negotiate scholly with W&L. They just don't budge.
I negotiated a scholarship increase, lhanvt13 (hmmm...I wonder which one of my classmates you could be?). However, upon getting my scholarship offer, I then negotiated. I go no increase until they needed me to defer for a year, upon which I did. So, in general, I do believe that lhanvt13 is correct, it is exceedingly difficult to negotiate a scholly.

I love the Palms. It's where the locals go and they at least have fried pickles. I do also find myself at Mac's from time to time, and you should go to Macs to see if there will be any law school students there. However, if your ASW is in February, many of us may be at Feb. Club parties.

yeah, the batch of deferees got a scholarship increase but unless we have a weird cycle again, it's likely not going to happen.

So, i got a super late start this cycle and just sent my application in, hope it doesn't kill my chances. For those who already got their FD, did you find out within a 6-8 week time frame or faster/later?

stats-
URM, decent softs, 3.8 / 163
