Got a phone call from the Dean at 11 am today informing me that I'd been accepted. Acceptance packet could be here as soon as tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken, I applied late-September, possibly very early October.

Anxiously Awaiting Decision
I applied ED, but at the very end of the period. My stats are far from stellar, but I am in the process of completing my Bachelor's abroad. I wonder if this will actually be an advantage.
I took the old-fashioned route and submitted my app in paper and paid for the UT Evaluation of Foreign Credential Service, so maybe that's another reason for the longer wait.

Brag on TLS as much as you want, but once school starts, stfu. My advice: Don't mention LSAT, schollies, or grades to your classmates. Never. I talked to one person about my first-semester grades, and it became common knowledge92653 wrote:aaaa I don't want to be a jerk but just got a full scholly!

Congrats to all the admits! Enjoy it while you can. Exactly one year from now, you will be in the middle of finals, and it will be one of the worst times of your life (until you take the bar). lawl

Congrats everyone! If admits aren't comfortable posting stats on the thread, would you mind sending me a pm?? I'm curious to see where I stand! I'm retaking this Saturday to hopefully put me in a better position.

Re: Texas c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
That's real. It's the same at my undergrad, we don't talk high school grades because then it's awkward for everyone, cuz we're all so insecure abt why we got in. also why I don't put actual stats on here so I could be making it all up and it'd be the same.JazzOne wrote: Brag on TLS as much as you want, but once school starts, stfu. As someone who's on the Internet so much I'd probably qualify for in-state at an online college, a lot of us want validation but don't want to be associated by name with wanting it. It's not cute.

So thanks for bringing that up.

Received my financial aid/scholarship offer letter in mail this morning. I was RD, NOT ED, so other RD should start looking I would think.

Do they tell you admit/deny/waitlist via status checker or just mail?? Also I applied on Nov 25th? So probably not hearing back till next year right?
Just wondering the turnaround time for RD
Also congrats on the acceptances!

Have any out-of-staters heard back yet? I went complete on October 31st, and I have about Texas's average GPA and LSAT, but I haven't heard a thing since then.

I received a follow-up letter today, but didn't give me any financial aid information - just 3 reasons why I should choose Texas. Not sure if this means no financial aid offered to me - if so, a little surprised. Didn't expect a full scholarship or anything, but thought I would get at least something.

I had 3 separate pieces of mail: Welcome packet, letter from Dean, and letter with $$ info. I don't think they were sent at the same time, I just only check my mail once every few days.HYSenberg wrote:Same. Last year it took like two weeks to get scholarship information after acceptances.

Ah, so maybe everyone gets the in-between letter from the Dean, before $$ info. Hoping so, haha! Thanks for the info.Instinctive wrote:I had 3 separate pieces of mail: Welcome packet, letter from Dean, and letter with $$ info.
