Will do for sure if I decide to go to UF LawKeicar wrote:foundingfather wrote:Thanks for taking the time to answer questions!aklam19 wrote:1L checking in - let me know if you have any questions. PM or Reply!
As for the process - UF took forever with the status changes and everything but from what I know all of the decision reached: notice issued was acceptance all last year. Acceptances and WL were both snail mail and rejection was e-mail. The time it takes for status changes wasn't really indicative of any problems with anything - just how they operate.
Hope that helps!
How hard is it to find housing near the law school in the Summer? Would you recommend the Continuum for a 1L?
Continuum is pretty expensive and kind of far from the law school relative to other places. Look into Trimark Properties. They have a handful of really nice places and the management is the best I've ever encountered in town.

I would definitely try to get the LSAT up a few points with the GPA but the residency helps.

Re: UF C/O 2017 (2013-2014 APPLICANTS)
Is it just me, or is this chart awesome? I haven't seen it posted anywhere yet, but if you scroll down to "Applicant Profile" you can go a long way to determining whether or not you're an auto-admit or an auto-reject
It includes every person who applied through LSAC
https://officialguide.lsac.org/Release/ ... spx?sid=49
So, for example 85% of 165-169 range applicants were admitted, while 0% of applicants below 149 were admitted. What surprised me was that only 76% of 170-174 range applicants got in... huh, YP maybe?
I can't believe they have one of these for every school. I'm going to go check against each school I've applied to. EDIT: Turns out most other schools don't have this in such detail.
EDIT: Wow, so you can actually cross index your LSAT and GPA and find what percentage of applicants in your range (out of literally ALL applicants, so much better than LSN or the TLS stats page) are getting in.
So if you got a 163 and a 3.65, you can see that 175 out of 185 (95%) of applicants in the 160-164 and 3.5-3.75 range got in.
My cross index is 85%. High end of the LSAT. Maybe I can start worrying a little less.
Went under initial review today after being complete since 12/9

Just put my hat into the ring.
Quick question, I sent yesterday after receiving my Dec. Re-take, but after submitting and getting OCD, I looked over the submitted apps and my LSAT for Dec. says nothing. I assume they'll get a separate update as to my Dec. score or something? Should I email admissions just incase?
Good luck, Gators <

It looks like (from the applicants page on LSN ordered by acceptance dates for 2011-2012 and 2012-2013) that a bunch of acceptances come out in mid-January and that rejections don't come out until February

I read earlier in this thread that rejections come in Emails. Scary stuff.
