Checking in. Went complete yesterday. What is the consensus on the time between going complete and hearing back on a decision?

For the past three application cycles, people submitting in October do not hear back until December, and over 90% of them hear back in January.

I'd have to go back and make sure, but from what I remember this last cycle, UChicago only let people who had ED'ed know their results by the end of the year; all RD applicants didn't find out until the following year.

However, last year was the first time that UChicago had done the Skype interviews, so I am not sure if they will be able to move things along more quickly this cycle now that they've got one round under their belt or not.

I was in the first round of RD acceptances, and it was mid-to-late January before I heard. During orientation I overheard admissions staff saying they were pretty sure they were going to be able to move more quickly this year, though.

It seemed like Regulus got one early and then everyone else started getting interviews about a week later.

Also, many people have mentioned that UChicago is trying to go quicker this cycle so maybe interviews will start going out earlier than that.

Hi everyone! Long time reader wanting to add to the stat pool.

They released Law Scholar decisions at the end of last week. Got the acceptance email from the Law School on Thursday, with an interview a couple of days earlier.

Ridiculously exciting, especially this early in the cycle and with a couple of other decisions prior even to that! Can't wait to see everyone at the UofC! (Hopefully with a less awkward bunch than the undergrads.)
