Wondering the same thing. Haven't even received a decision yet, let alone any info about the PIPS scholarship. I submitted my application right after yours, haven't heard a thing except a date change on 12/17.ChicagoDawg wrote:Has anyone heard back about PIPS Scholarships?

Ditto on the 10,000 scholarship email this morning. I'm certainly grateful but I too have been offered much bigger deals at similarly ranked schools. Considering negotiating a scholarship but going to see where else I get in first. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear!!

Just got the $10'000/year schol. Way too little to justify the many negatives about the school anyways, so not too disappointed.

Just got an email offer of 15k/Year... Half as much as I was offered by GW. Way to keep yourself competitive American...

Agreed on that....got the same scholarship, and I got much better offers from both lower ranked schools and significantly better ones. Was expecting a lot more. Do you guys think they are worth negotiating with to use as leverage with other schools? /do they negotiate at all?gerrydawg wrote:Agreed on that....got the same scholarship, and I got much better offers from both lower ranked schools and significantly better ones. I found a really useful resource to know whether or not a school negotiates. Just look at their ABA required disclosure for admissions. It says how many students are paying full tuition, over half tuition but less than full, less than half, and so on. Here it is for American: http://www.wcl.american.edu/admiss/docu ... report.pdfYazzzay wrote:Do you guys think they are worth negotiating with to use as leverage with other schools? /do they negotiate at all?gerrydawg wrote:Agreed on that....got the same scholarship, and I got much better offers from both lower ranked schools and significantly better ones. As you can see on the chart, the median grant amount is 10,080, and the 75% percentile grant amount is 15k. So if you got an offer of 15k from the school, it looks like you don't have a big chance of getting much more than that.

Ditto. I've heard from literally everyone but them now, but I would need a substantial scholarship to go there and it doesn't sound like anyone's getting much..ChicagoDawg wrote:They're strategy to handling admissions has lost them a lot of points from me... What's the deal American??

Tip: American won't negotiate.
I let them know about my scholarships from higher-ranked schools with double to triple the money and they let me know that they can't reconsider due to 'limited funds'. I just wanted money for leverage so I don't feel too stung. Considering everything read online, and their dismal employment prospects it seems like they have a few good programmes but overall the school would probably not be worth it even free. Will be withdrawing shortly, good luck to all, and especially with other options!

Just accepted! Do they typically include scholarship information in the acceptance e-mail or separately?

You are a classic case of yield post, which AU WCL is notorious for.zanardin wrote:Just got waitlisted.. Same here, and same with my coworker.
