I live about 20 minutes from the WUSTL campus, so I'm sure there are many of you with acceptances en route!
I've been complete since mid-September, and while I don't quite have auto-admit numbers, I'm sure hoping that I fall into this category of accepted without online indication.

Has anyone else received notice without an interview?
Your numbers aren't auto-admit but they're certainly not auto-ding. If I had to predict your cycle, I'd guess that you're gonna be admitted directly (hopefully =]) or WUSTL will hold off on making a decision about you until they see what their yield rate is for the earlier admits (presumably the ones with higher LSATs). But either way, considering WUSTL's yield problem and your numbers...I would be surprised if you ended up being ding-ed outright.

Also, i'm not sure if this actually matters, but the Ph.D/J.D aspect of your application might influence the timing and progress of your review. Maybe they do admissions in conjunction with the philosophy dept so that they can give you a decision on both programs at the same time? I know that traditionally students apply to both programs separately, but I would be surprised if the law school and graduate school didn't communicate AT ALL about your joint application. I feel like there HAS to be SOME kind of communication between the two adcomms

As a long time 0L lurker of the above thread, it's really interesting to see WUSTL 0L's who are asking questions eventually turn into WUSTL 1L/2L's and start answering questions (i.e. TatteredDignity). Anyway, definitely one of the most helpful threads I've come upon in my two cycles

I've thought the same thing of this thread compared to the others that I am on this cycle.

Also, thanks for your input on my earlier question. I too have thought that my JD/PhD decision might take longer if the departments have to work in conjunction to accept.

I have a pretty good idea how this admission cycle will shake out for my JD applications, but there is so little data for joint-degree applicants and so many factors that might influence how my application is looked at (i.e., working in conjunction with another department, YP considerations...), I just have no idea what to expect.

All that to say, getting into the law school before I've heard from the grad school would help me sleep a lot easier.

Did each of you specify your interviewer when you scheduled? I just realized I scheduled a time, but did not specify an interviewer, I guess I didn't need to, but just curious.

When I scheduled they told me who I would be interviewing with. I'm guessing its whoever is available on their end for when you scheduled it.

This^ is what happened to me, too. I am interviewing with Dean Clifford today.

Just got accepted during my phone interview!! Dean Clifford was extremely nice and honest. I definitely got more excited about attending after speaking with her.

It was email last year...but they're doing acceptance letters by mail this year..so maybe it'll be the case for scholly info as well? But I doubt it considering that they'll probably want candidates to know about their scholly offers (which will probably be higher than their peer schools) as soon as possible

In via the interview! She asked why I picked my UG, why I chose my major in UG, how I felt my second BA complimented my first, and what sort of law I was interested in practicing. I gave some pretty derpy answers because I'm bad at this stuff (talking to other humans), but it didn't seem to matter.

Awesome. Congrats to the others who also got in today!

For all of you with interviews scheduled in the future remember St. Louis goes by central time. I live in Florida and scheduled an appointment for 1, but was not contacted until 2 because of the time zone difference. I would have been panicking if I someone ITT had pointed that out a few days earlier.

I hope you didn't lead with "Oh! St. Louis is in Central time?"

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
