Re: UF Class of 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
48k scholarship (16/yr), 2.8 stip.
I retook the LSAT and took a year off because UF didn't offer me any money at all last time, and I would've attended with less than half of this offer.
I have other great offers this year, so I really have a tough choice to make.

Complete: 12/6
Under Review: 12/12
NDR: 12/13
I'm surprised they moved my app through this quickly.

Nice, you should be getting your acceptance letter soon.whisky wrote:3.48/164(June 2012), 155(Oct 2011)
They seem to only be admitting applicants with 75th percentile+ LSAT's right now

Not necessarily. I was admitted with a 158 and 3.99 GPA. 36K scholarship (12k/yr).slawww wrote:Nice, you should be getting your acceptance letter soon.whisky wrote:3.48/164(June 2012), 155(Oct 2011)

Nice! I guess I should have said above 75th percentile LSAT and/or GPA. UF, like most school I'm assuming, are (probably) trying to get they're accepted pool of students medians high early.sofl_law wrote:Not necessarily. Re: UF Class of 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
" Per faculty policy, the mandatory mean grade for all course sections is 3.15-3.25, inclusive. If the mean GPA for students enrolled in the course section (determined as of the beginning of the semester) is above 3.2, the lower end of the range is 3.15 and the upper end of the range may be .05 higher than the mean GPA of the students enrolled in the course. If the mean GPA of the students enrolled in the course section (determined as of the beginning of the semester) is below 3.2, the lower end of the range may be .05 lower than the mean GPA of the students enrolled in the course and the upper end of the range shall be 3.25.seancris wrote:Thanks!

For courses in which there are 25 or fewer students enrolled in total in all sections of the course being offered in a given semester, the range is recommended rather than mandatory; in no event, however, may the mean grade exceed 3.6 except as follows: If the mean GPA for students enrolled in the course section (determined as of the beginning of the semester) is above 3.55, the mean grade for the course section may exceed 3.6, but may not exceed the mean GPA of the students enrolled in the course section plus .05."
Hope that helps.

Submitted 12/10, NDR 12/14,then no change ... above 75% LSAT, no UDGPA(since I am an international applicant)
soooo worried now, I am a FL residence and I went to graduate school here, I always love FL even I don't know how to swim

With the massive decrease in test takers you'll be fine. Good/Solid LSAT scores will be at a premium, rankings don't care as much about GPA.jing87 wrote:Submitted 12/10, NDR 12/14,then no change ... above 75% LSAT, no UDGPA(since I am an international applicant)

WOW, I am wondering if they accepted a reverse splitter like you because you were their own + giving you a scholarship, or if they usually accept reverse splitters from anywhere in state.

Not all reverse splitters are their own. I know of a Seminole with a 158 3.9x that got in last cycle (no money though).itachiuchiha wrote:WOW, I am wondering if they accepted a reverse splitter like you because you were their own + giving you a scholarship, or if they usually accept reverse splitters from anywhere in state.

UF is one of the more reverse-splitter friendly schools out there, notoriously to Floridians for UG and grad.itachiuchiha wrote:WOW, I am wondering if they accepted a reverse splitter like you because you were their own + giving you a scholarship, or if they usually accept reverse splitters from anywhere in state.

Congrats! Are you in state or out of state? I got one as well. 16k a year, same stip.2012Lsatscore wrote:Scholarship came in the mail today.
12k a year/ 36k total provided I maintain a cumulative 2.8 GPA.
This is very cool! I didn't expect to get this much. I will definitely be attending the accepted students events to shake some hands.
Good luck to everyone else waiting for a seat and/or scholarship!

Re: UF Class of 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Any other OOS applicants on the thread? I'm from Michigan, but UF is one of my top picks. Submitted 12/14, then NDR on 12/19. I saw that only about 10% of each class is OOS, so I'm pretty nervous. Numbers are 3.6/161. I think I remember reading somewhere that they claim not to evaluate apps any differently based on residency, but I have a hard time believing that.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
