Whaaat I thought everyone was going to be dressed normally. I don't want to stand out and be the only one looking like a bum, at the same time, I want to dress like a bum.

I don't understand why people ask "What should I wear?". Wear whatever the hell you want. Wear shorts and a t-shirt if that keeps you warm. Nobody cares.

Well, most people don't want to stand out like a sore thumb. I'm surprised it was business casual though, I was at Michigan a few weeks ago, and only saw two blazers the entire time.

Regarding FinAid, I'm assuming the questionnaire comes in the VCE? I couldn't find it online.

The questionnaire is in the financial aid packet that they send which, for me, was a separate mailing from the VCE. They might be switching things up though, since deadlines fast approaching.

I went to the first Monday event and I don't think I saw a single person in "business casual." Almost everybody was in jeans or equivalent.

Just got the admit email! I was thinking about coming in for ASW, but last minute plane tickets are going for at least $1400... I think I'll wait for “Mondays at Columbia”, whatever that is.

How long does it take to get the PID/CUID after being admitted?
ETA: Ideally looking for a response from people admitted somewhat recently. Prior year threads suggest it could take 3-4 weeks, but I would hope that won't be the case for someone admitted in mid/late March if the housing app is due May 1.

Wanted to pop in to say: 1) there is no need to dress business casual. Some people do, but it's really not important. 2) Do not be fooled by the fact that it is the end of March and sunny. Especially you west coasters, bring a decent jacket.

Is it too early to email Columbia regarding the scholarship offers I've gotten from similarly ranked schools? I was planning on waiting until they started making offers based on the info we sent in to the financial aid office, but deadlines are looming at certain schools.
