Re: Howard class of 2015
Well I am still waiting for a decision on my application which I submitted in Jan. When I called the lady on the phone told me they would "respond sometime soon." That was about 3 weeks ago now. Still have heard nothing. And I have much better offers from other schools that are ranked WAY higher than Howard. There have been several other people on this board(including a current Howard student) who have complained about the administration and the lack of response to inquiries for a variety of reasons. I will be withdrawing after I get my acceptance just so I can hurt their yield b/c I know I will!

Just withdrew my application via email. Hopefully someone gets my seat and scholarship money. Good luck!

I sent in my seat deposit yesterday. I'm excited about the opportunity to attend HUSL. I feel like it was the best decision I could make at this time.

How do I accept Howard's Class of 2015 Facebook Group Request without it showing up on my news feed? My boss is my Facebook friend and I haven't told her about law school yet...

Anyone still wiating on a decision? I applied in Jan and I still have not heard back. I have called twice and they have told me that I should "know something soon" but that was 5 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago. I am starting to get frustrated. I really wanted to consider Howard as an option but I am going to have to give up if they do not give me some kind of answer soon.

I'm going to Howard in the fall! For my fellow classmates, have you gotten familiar with Bison and Financial aid. It doesn't show my scholarship nor an option to accept the terms and conditions of my financial aid package (which is missing too). But its telling me accept the terms and conditions by may 18. Is anyone else having this same problem?

My scholarship isn't showing either. I haven't called to check on that yet. I had to complete 'Fed Aid Loan Counseling' to see my aid award and have the option to accept. My concern is that there is a $10K gap between my COA and aid+scholarship.kj90 wrote:I'm going to Howard in the fall! For my fellow classmates, have you gotten familiar with Bison and Financial aid. I can't accept the terms and conditions either!!!! I just called them and they are getting the IT folks to fix it. So you should definitely give them a call.

Re: Howard class of 2015
Hi all,
If anyone is looking for housing, I am moving to Brazil for the summer and need to give up my part of this wonderful apartment! You will be taking over my part of the lease. The apartment is available starting May 31st but we can negotiate an earlier start date if necessary. The lease officially ends July 28th and then switches to month to month.
The apartment is a 2br/1bath in the great neighborhood of Van Ness. The room available is a good size (10'4" by 15'0") with a walk-in closet. The main living areas are shared and very spacious. There is an awesome balcony for relaxing after school. The $1280 rent includes all utilities except for $20/mth for internet. Garage parking is available at an additional charge.
The complex itself has great amenities: an olympic size pool, laundry facilities on each floor, 24hr doorman, 24hr fitness center, on site dry cleaning valet and ATM, free coffee station, social room & media center with computers and free printing, faxing, and scanning.
THIS APARTMENT IS PERFECT FOR Howard Law STUDENTS! You have literally a two minute walk from the front door of the complex to the front door of the law school. It is located right next to the Van Ness Metro stop (Red Line), a minute away from Giant grocery store, CVS, the brand new Walgreens. All the other essentials are close by too, Starbucks, Potbellys, Gold's Gym, etc.
Your roommate is a Howard 2L. We are looking for either a male or female roommate who is clean, responsible in paying rent, a non-smoker and easy to get along with!
You can check out the building website here: --LinkRemoved--
Email me at michelleawinters@gmail.com with questions! Thanks.

Re: Howard class of 2015
hey so has anyone heard anything back from howard pertaining to starting in the fall? I see they have updated their calendar for next year and orientation begins aug 13th and lasts till the 17th. I have received an email about a voluntary summer reading list. But has anyone received any other information for starting in the fall or do we just show up to orientation?

If I had to guess, we'll get an email the first or second week of August with some updates. If you've accepted your offer, you should have been invited to the facebook group (assuming you're on fb).kj90 wrote:hey so has anyone heard anything back from howard pertaining to starting in the fall? I LIKED the Howard University School of Law Class of 2015 page but I wasn't invited to anything else. Is there another page? But I did accept the offer and send in my seat deposit and enrollment fee

Is anyone in the DC area? I'd love to organize a happy hour for those who are here this summer. I'm getting excited about the fall, but I'm kind of glad it's 2 months away.

Hello all!
I have officially decided on Howard. I was wondering if everyone already knows where they are going to be living for the upcoming school year because I am having trouble finding a place without spending too much to be in a decent area. Please let me know if you have any advice that could help. Also, I know Howard said they were going to mail a housing packet with info...did anyone receive it?
Thanks

Re: Howard class of 2015
I've been considering Howard University and now my seat deposit deadline is coming up. I've been accepted to better schools such as Hofstra, St. Johns, a few others similarly ranked and am wait listed at a bunch other top 50 schools. Anyone have any advice ? I am not African American and my only concern for attending Howard is that more opportunities will be presented to African American students. Any input on this ? Thanks fellas

I had the same problem with the facebook group. Just call admissions or friend request Dean Reggie, I suggest both. I got an invite immediately. Hope this helps!
