Well it looks like at this late juncture that no scholarship money will be coming my way. I'm very disappointed by this, as Florida is my home state and Stetson has a very strong regional reputation. Stetson is just too expensive to pay sticker.
Now, I was accepted before I received my upgraded LSAT score (by over 5 points), would it be beneficial to ask for a reconsideration for scholarship monies?

Of course you should! LSAT medians (what they are purchasing) are determined based on what students have when they come in, not what they have when they initially apply.JerichoJohnny wrote:Well it looks like at this late juncture that no scholarship money will be coming my way. Did they specifically tell you that you would NOT receive a scholarship?

To be fair, no, they did not. I may need to try contacting them in the next couple of weeks. I will let you all know how that goes if I decide to do so.Did they specifically tell you that you would NOT receive a scholarship?

I received a full ride, but it did not come with my acceptance letter.
If you were recently accepted, give it some time. I think they meet monthly to make scholarship decisions.

Well I guess we'll probably be it for the TLS representatives unless someone else surprises. We definitely have to meet each other. I wonder how many people are going to be at the retreat anyway.goldenflash19 wrote:I'll be @ the Retreat.

Absolutely, it will be cool to meet another TLSer. Kettles mentioned getting flight info from at least 6 people, but besides that I have no clue. Maybe 15-20? Should be a good weekend, tho.Dash41 wrote:Well I guess we'll probably be it for the TLS representatives unless someone else surprises. We definitely have to meet each other. I applied in September and waited more than a month
But your numbers might be a bit low for applying this late in the game.

I had about the same numbers, and submitted a day or two before you probably. I got the acceptance packet yesterday, you should hear back very soon. Good luck!

So just decided to check out this thread. I got in in early January, no scholly money coming from Stetson itself. Im in between Stetson and George Mason (prob at sticker price). Any thoughts? p.s. I'm a Miami boy who wants to eventually live/practice in FL.

Did you check out Miami? Miami would probably be better when compared to Stetson...jewban10 wrote:So just decided to check out this thread. Between your two, it's tough to say that George Mason at sticker is probably better, but it might be, unless you know that you ONLY want to ever practice in Florida, then maybe Stetson with a scholarship. Being as though you're looking at sticker for either, George Mason might have the prestige edge, but it really depends on what program you want to do.
