(a) It's not "top right." Rather, it's top left.
(b) If the handwritten note is of such a specific nature that posting it in detail would "out" the admitted applicant, then common sense would impress upon the person to not post his or her note. I assume most of the people who would post in this forum have common sense. And if they in fact do desire to post their handwritten note, they would do so in general terms. For instance, my note expressed the admission reader's fondness of my essays.
(c) Whenever possible, cut the douchey-ness.

Hey,
Did any of you guys accepted get emails as well as the letter. I'm international so if I managed to get accepted it'll probably take some time for the letter to get to me. I was under review for a while and my status has changed back to complete, so I don't know what to take from that. I guess I'll just wait anxiously and hope.

Wait, does "application complete" mean the decision has been mailed? I've been status checking very rarely and may have completely missed the "under review" stage.

No email. It's weird that you were under review - my application status never went beyond "application complete" - it still shows that status now. Are you sure you're not getting Georgetown confused with somewhere else? As far as I'm aware, no one else here reports being listed as under review.dean159 wrote:Did any of you guys accepted get emails as well as the letter. No. I was listed as complete on 10/03 - as were others here. I was never "under review."sach1282 wrote:Wait, does "application complete" mean the decision has been mailed? I've been status checking very rarely and may have completely missed the "under review" stage.

Yeah, you're right. I just kept on getting changed dates for application complete. There are so many different applications, I think I was just combining them together in my anxiety haha.

Congrats on all the acceptances! Now I am super nervous (complete 10/3 and status checker has only changed once on 10/11). Beginning to think that means denial

I wouldn't assume that. The people accepted so far seem to be an odd bunch - mostly internationals and splitters.MiamiOxford wrote:Congrats on all the acceptances! Now I am super nervous (complete 10/3 and status checker has only changed once on 10/11). Beginning to think that means denial

I'm wondering how the cycle will be for PT this year... I applied with hopes of slightly lower medians, but with the new inclusion in the rankings I don't think they will be as forgiving. (161, 4.11, NA, applied PT).AntipodeanPhil wrote:I wouldn't assume that. It was obviously sarcasm precisely because of your reason (b). Thus why I implied you might as well just give your out name out. If anything, you're kind of the douche

Just informed by my stateside compatriot that I got a Georgetown acceptance letter, apparently I did completely miss "under review" status.
Also, not international or splitter, just about at both medians. I did write the optional essay.

Whoops - I guess I was mistaken about the internationals and splitters claim. Most of the first few to post here were internationals and splitters, though - I guess that was just a coincidence. I checked LSN, and most the people who report being admitted there look to be regular (strong) candidates.

If I am an international applicant who can do the splits, does that give me a boost?

Does anyone remember the application for the Public Interest Law Scholars Program last year? I'm thinking of applying, but wanted to know if we have to write an additional essay for that?

So looking at LSN, lots of people that submitted apps early received decisions this week-ish... Anyone's thoughts on this/ anyone else compulsively checking mail?
