Re: Brooklyn Law School 2011 Cycle
I've been in review since 12/15 and I sent them an email about 10 days ago... Just asking when I could expect a decision etc etc.mustwingame7 wrote:Is it a bad idea to email admissions and ask them for an update? I feel as though I have been "in review" for an eternity and aside from the email's and also the BLS Law Notes packets I have not heard a word from them.
No response from them or confirmation of receipt lol. I would call if you are dying to know something, otherwise, just keep waiting.

Their admissions kit is extremely impressive. Loving all of the personalization and effort that went into creating it.

how much longer after you were admitted did it take for your kit to come? I got my acceptance letter a few weeks ago.

About a week for me, as well. I was admitted on Tuesday and received the acceptance letter on Saturday, and the kit today.maglialoro wrote:Woods, Elle wrote:Their admissions kit is extremely impressive. Loving all of the personalization and effort that went into creating it.

Nope. The initial acceptance letter said that I was being considered for a merit scholarship, based upon my LSAT score. They said they will let me know (I don't remember if it's by email or regular mail) in March. I wonder if they let you know if you won't receive anything, or if being considered means you're guaranteed to receive some sort of scholarship.

Yeah I remember hearing something like this and wondering the same thing. March just seems so far off, I would like some clarity sooner rather than later.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has (seemingly) been forgotten by Brooklyn.

For those of you who got in today, when did you send in your applications. I mean congrats and all, but it just doesn't do anyone else any good unless you tell us these facts. It would also help if you posted your stats, unless of course they are already posted on your profile.

Re: Brooklyn Law School 2011 Cycle
Has anyone sent in a deposit yet? I'm going to send in a LOCI tomorrow, but I am unsure if I want to pay sticker for Brooklyn - though they are one of my top choices if I get in. Is anyone deciding whether or not to pay sticker here?
EDIT: Just realized scholly info isn't coming out until March. But the question remains: is anybody else considering paying sticker at BLS if you don't receive any cash money?

You do realize people aren't obligated to tell you their personal information, right?lawfreak wrote:For those of you who got in today, when did you send in your applications. I actually wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. Yes, we're happy for you that you got into whatever school, but what is inevitably going to follow is people wondering when they can also expect their decisions as well, which is basically one of the major reasons why people come to this exact board. So they end up having to follow up and ask those people who just say "IN OR IN WITH SCHOLLY," when exactly their apps go complete because that is something people DEFINITELY want to know. I mean, people want to help others on these boards right? When you write that you're In, all you're really wanting is attention and people to congratulate you, and that's awesome too but please think about what kind of information that you can pass along that can really help others during this wait.lawfreak wrote:For those of you who got in today, when did you send in your applications.
