i'm in the same situation. i'm guessing that the lack of scholarship info for you and me has something to do with when we applied. i'm guessing we applied a little later than the people who have also been accepted and have already received $.JennBNYC wrote:Hmm....there's just one letter in my envelopeYankeesFan wrote:My scholarship letter was behind my admissions letter in the same envelope. Wow. Then that was really poor planning on their part (if that's the case), especially since it seems like so many people are still waiting ITT. I applied right around Thanksgiving, FWIW. I'll update if I hear back from admissions.sprewell wrote:i'm in the same situation. i'm guessing that the lack of scholarship info for you and me has something to do with when we applied. i'm guessing we applied a little later than the people who have also been accepted and have already received $.JennBNYC wrote:Hmm....there's just one letter in my envelopeYankeesFan wrote:My scholarship letter was behind my admissions letter in the same envelope. Villanova is really losing my interest. I applied on November 15th and have yet to even get an admissions decision. AND my numbers are strong for Nova. Really not happy about it.JennBNYC wrote:Wow. Re: Villanova 2011
I'm at the point where it does not matter much for me to be admitted or not. If I dont hear anything by mid february, im going to withdraw. I dont want to be hearing decisions right up to the time I need to be submitting seat deposits. If I dont hear from a school with enough time to make a thorough decision ( I sent my last application in on 12/3), i wont go. ( Im thinking 3 weeks is enough time to make a final decision)

Me too, and I'm UG here. I'm going to question them tomorrow I think on how they go about reviewing applications.ach24 wrote:irishvt14 wrote: Villanova is really losing my interest. Agreed. I'm over the 75th both GPA and LSAT. I've had my app in since the start of December and nothing.

I think they might be hurting with scholly money, so if you're a clear auto-admit and a candidate for some phat cash they may hold off for awhile to see if some frees up. I'd suggest calling the admissions office or emailing and telling them your serious and would like to hear back soon so you can figure out your plans for next year or some other BS.
By the way, if you think they take awhile for admissions decisions just wait until you wait for 1L grades here. We seriously have to be one of the few law schools with no grades in.

Rumor has it that Villanova is absolutely horrid in terms of giving any money. For a private school that is a peer with a much cheaper school (Temple) I find this to be very interesting. With that being said, hopefully we are all proven wrong.

I mean overall, I love my school. But they take their damn time with doing everything.ach24 wrote:This isn't making me want to go. :/beach_terror wrote:By the way, if you think they take awhile for admissions decisions just wait until you wait for 1L grades here. If any of you have questions or want to come on a tour with a fellow TLS who doesn't have his head in the sky about law school, feel free to shoot me a pm. I'd be more than happy to answer questions from some people who do their research.

I got accepted to Pitt and Nova my cycle and Pitt only gave me scholly. I used that as a leverage to squeeze some cash out of Nova. If you have any similarly ranked school that is offering you scholly, try using that as a leverage.SrLaw wrote:Rumor has it that Villanova is absolutely horrid in terms of giving any money.
