Re: Penn 2011
Soooo.... it would be awesome if they released decisions a week earlier than last year.
AKA, TOMORROW
Edit: Sorry for the anxiety, but I am EXACTLY at the medians lol, so I am pretty anxious to know how UPenn goes, because that'll give me an indication of how I'll perform relative to my numbers

Went UCR yesterday. Complete around 10/13.
For the batch of people who UCR yesterday, do you feel like borderline candidates? That's certainly how I feel about my chances and I'm wondering if they grouped us together. I'm above the 75 for GPA and just below the LSAT median.

Hm. I wouldn't say I'm borderline. Above 75% LSAT, median GPA. Strong softs. I'm in at NYU and Berk so I would say that although I don't think I am an "auto-admit" necessarily, I have at least a solid shot.

Re: Penn 2011
I'm at both medians pretty much, and I was UCR as of 2 weeks ago. I don't think there's much of a rhyme or reason to it. I was complete 10/15 by the way.TLSNYC wrote:Went UCR yesterday. Complete around 10/13.

I just realized this thread only has 8 pages. It's time to get it going a bit more! I am here to cheer it on.

The Michigan thread (or one of 'em, anyway) is already at, what, 63 pages? This thread is shockingly quiet. Please continue to cheer it on.r6_philly wrote:I just realized this thread only has 8 pages. It's time to get it going a bit more! I am here to cheer it on.
I met Renee Post at a law school fair at the University of Washington last month. She was awesome, and took quite a bit of time to shoot the breeze with me about Philadelphia. Thumbs up.

Penn is awesome. My guess is that they will not make you wait too much longer. How goes the construction of the new LS building? I was there in July, and it appeared to be a giant rubble factory. Then again, if you're going to do lots of messy demo on a law school building, might as well do it during summer break.r6_philly wrote: I have not met her, but I walk or drive by the law school everyday. I can vouch for this as well. Dean Post and all of the Penn staff are incredibly kind and helpful. All the more reason I hope tomorrow (or at least sometime this week) will include a nice phone call from the 215 for all of us.dj666 wrote:The Michigan thread (or one of 'em, anyway) is already at, what, 63 pages? Does Penn call for all acceptances, or just ED?rd05 wrote:I can vouch for this as well. Dean Post and all of the Penn staff are incredibly kind and helpful. How many optional essays did you all do?

Re: Penn 2011
I just did the 5 Year plan. And it was much more of a "Why Penn" than a strict 5 year plan.
Whatevs. If I get rejected it's cuz of my fail reading comprehension.
