Re: GULC Waiting Thread
I was thinking about it but didn't know if I had enough background in PI to be competitive; also, I was kinda waiting on the whole acceptance part first. But I'm thinking I'm might just send in an application, worst they can say is no and I go into PI anyways.cigrainger wrote:Is anybody applying to the Public Interest Law Scholars program?

So if we went complete a week ago, are we generally supposed to hear back in the next three weeks?

Are you an ED applicant? ED applicants are supposed to hear back within three weeks from the app going complete.

So, do you think the dude who said he was accepted yesterday is a flame? Because he says he is RD, which makes it even weirder. or maybe he's just badass and we are all noobs.

Also if you check LSN, RD people tend to hear back late Oct & Nov if they applied early.

Keep in mind that was before the 3 week turnaround for ED applicants. My guess is RD decisions will be a little slower this yeardulcatis wrote: Also if you check LSN, RD people tend to hear back late Oct & Nov if they applied early.

Valid point. If it were an LSAT waiting thread, I would understand. But you're right... not much incentive. I still think it was a flame tho..tkgrrett wrote:+1.. question is tho, why would anyone wanna flame a gulc waiting thread?? it just isnt that entertaining.evandm wrote:+1jpk5372 wrote:It might be early- but I'm going to go ahead and call shenanigans.minuit wrote:So, do you think the dude who said he was accepted yesterday is a flame? Anybody get a response back from GULC about the interview?
I emailed them saying I would do it and haven't heard back yet.

Had my interview today. Went pretty well I think but as he said he has no say in admissions just kinda there to see if I was a psycho ax murderer. So back to waiting wonder how long now.

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
We aren't supposed to hear anything back from GULC. We're supposed to wait to be contacted by an alumnus. I think I'm going to give them a call on Monday though to make sure the alum got the request.. I really want to get this thing moving.bk187 wrote:Anybody get a response back from GULC about the interview?

dlpelletier - wow, that was fast! let us know how long it takes for them to send you a decision. are you ED?

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
Yes was fast. Got email offering interview Friday 22nd to which I replied to right away. Monday 25th was contacted by alumni a few back and forth emails Monday Tuesday and scheduled interview for today the 28th.

And yes I applied ED on the 4th complete on the 5th 13th 15th( I think) 864 and the 22nd though not sure if the three week time line still applies since I opted for the interview.

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
Wow, so I dunno what to do in a waiting thread... this is my first one!
I guess I will say that I visited GULC last summer and really, really loved it. I was really impressed by all the buildings/facilities, and I like DC a lot. If you have a chance, definitely go see it!
Also, the staff there were really nice. I was just wandering around (not on a tour or visit or anything) and they unlocked the moot courtroom for me to see, got me into the library, and showed me a little bit of Gewirz.
