If I'm reading the LRAPs correctly (and there is a really good chance I'm not) then UCLA has a "soft-cap" of $55,000 at which point there is a 35% contribution rate up to $80,000. From what I can tell GULC's "soft-cap" is at $75,000. What am I reading wrong?
That's how I read them.

So another thing I just noticed. According to the link the maximum interest rate that UCLA LRAP covers is 8.25% but the Grad PLUS loans are set at 8.5%.....wtf?

It was an email that actually told me how much grant I get. Accepted mid jan and sent off need acces feb 1st.

Yeah, these emails were for the Need Access Grant which is a separate form, much like the FAFSA (but much more annoying). There's info about it in the admit packet.

Waitlisted yesterday afternoon. 3.6/171, went complete at the end of November. Sent in my withdraw form last night.

Blah, sorry, I actually have a 3.7/171- I mistyped my GPA earlier. I don't think I was careful or enthusiastic enough while putting together my UCLA application, and it seems like it showed. No hard feelings, UCLA

LSN supports the high GPA idea (also, 170+ LSAT is pretty golden). I've heard that they really like in-state students, too.

My GPA isn't rockin', to be honest (3.5xx). Non-URM, in-state though. LSAT around median. I know with near-certainty that it came down to the essays I wrote.
