Not as bad as Emory's.
+1

Loved the school during my visit. One of the assistant deans assured me that I'd have a decision within a couple months. It's been more like five now. It's not like WM is the only school I'm waiting on, but it's a little sad for me to be decision pending for nearly half a year.

If all money were equal I'd def go there, but WM's 8k to IU-B's full ride is just not cutting it.
This.... I just can't seem to justify it no matter how I slice it.

Even Emory got out some more WLs today via email. Even they let me know.

Only a week or so more.

not the kind of movement you (or I) want to see - I went to DP today.

Same here...too lazy to look in previous pages, so - what does DP mean for W&M? Is it a good thing, bad thing, or does it mean nothing at all?

I'm not really into Big Law and I'm looking to practice in Central to Western Pa with connections I've already made in UG and such. That being said I am extremely nervous about the mobility of the IU-B degree, but I'm willing to put in the networking required to get back to PA in a market dominated by the likes of PSU-DSL, Pitt, and Duquense. Not like I'm going to be posting up against many T14ers. But I'd really love to hear some advice if people think I'm crazy.

It realllly means the "silent wait list". I've been on it since Jan.7.

A few months even at this point? I just assumed it meant we were pushed to the back of the list until they got closer to decision time?

Haha, I like your enthusiasm. I'm fully expecting the same response, but how did you learn of it? My status checker is still DP.

Wow, its weird to think that they actually rejected somebody. Sorry to hear that. Maybe this means that there will be a larger round of decisions coming to all of us waiting.

What were your numbers? I am still waiting for my rejection - I want it to just come already.

Jeeze. What date is your DP? Mine is 11/17. I have roughly the same numbers as you. It would be refreshing to get ANY decision from them at this point.

Well, I'm sorry to hear about the rejection. Regardless of it was expected or not, it still stings. It was rough to see the UVA denial I got even though I knew I had about a 3% chance of getting in (and that's if I was a URM).

I called yesterday, and even though my status checker is still stuck at 11/4/2009 DP, they are expecting to release decisions by the end of next week. I hope they weren't just trying to make me feel better.
