Interview earlier this week (accompanied by date change - either UR3 or UR4).

Date change again yesterday to 3/9. Should I be expecting decision soon?

I had a date change after interview request (UR1.5?) but before my interview and then one after my interview to 3/9 (I'm assuming this is UR2 or UR3). Did your date change twice after interview?

Pretty sure mine started after I went complete, then UR2 on like 2/10, then interview request (UR 3/2), then change after interview (UR 3/7), then change yesterday (UR 3/9)

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but for fellow admits, what's your own personal calculus for how much debt you're willing to go into for Chicago? Employment outcomes don't get much more solid than UChi, but given that the 75th percentile scholarship/grant award is only $30,000 and I'm a reverse splitter, I'm not expecting much/any merit aid.

It's been asked (by me actually!) probably about in December or so. I'm still struggling with it a lot, and I'm not sure yet. I think it depends on your other options mainly.

Struggling with this too. Ultimately I think I'll be looking @ $150k in debt because I don't expect much aid. And I'm trying to find out in what way that would be okay instead of going to a school w/ $$$ with good employment #s as well.

That is 30k/year right? I think I'm willing to take around 180k maximum in loans. This depends on how generous my Northwestern offer is though.

You think so? I was reading it as $30,000 total for three years, but I hope you're right! Also, that would make more sense for the 25th percentile amount being $10,000: $10,000/yr instead of an awkward $3,333/yr. In any case, $180,000 is about sticker (for tuition), and that's what I'm debating, too, in preparation for the worst-case scenario in which I receive zero aid. The anxiety is real, man.

Unfortunately, I don't really have much in savings so I'll have to take loans for COL too. Given the situation, I think I'll need 50k+ to be able to attend Chicago rather than a lower T14. My career goals would be particularly suited to Chicago over other schools though.

I'm particularly interested in appellate litigation as a practice area (I know this is a pretty small niche to get into). Because of this, I need to prioritize clerkships (particularly appellate clerkships) which puts Chicago significantly above everything but HYS. Chicago also places much better into all the unicorn jobs (SCOTUS clerks, litigation boutiques, maybe USAO?) and has more potential portability to difficult markets imo (DC, SF); I know these aren't all deciding factors but they're a big value add for me. At the end of the day if Chicago COA is up to 60-70k more than Duke/UVA/NU, I'm willing to pay to keep doors open on the off chance that I place high enough in the class to have those opportunities available to me. Granted, that is a lot of money but a Biglaw salary makes it a little easier to deal with (also Chi provides LRAP for clerkships and other schools don't).

which of UR stages would this be? are there still chances of getting an interview or is it almost a ding now?

I applied early November, got an interview invite late January. So you are fine. Hang in there.

Just finished my interview. I was super nervous and definitely not at my best. Also Skype is the bane of my existence.

Oh well, I tried my hardest. My interviewer was extremely pleasant despite my obvious shortcomings lol

Don't worry about it too much. My interview wasn't great (computer issues and awkwardness) and it didn't affect my admissions outcome!
