I'm not sure the envelope being opened and the contents being stolen counts as "damage," but at least I already got my JS2. Anyone who received this mailing intact want to fill me in on what I'm missing?
WOW my envelope was fully open and damaged, too!! I was so bummed, but at least I had the (damaged) contents to review. I obviously don't know if mine was missing anything, but it contained a (ripped) folder with another admissions letter, several brochures, and an admitted students' guide. Plus an HLS keychain
I'm pretty bummed to miss out on the hard-copy admission letter, but oh well I guess. I shot an email to the admissions office, just to let them know.

They're afraid of the infamous HLS postal drug exchange. Good news though: all perps were caught.

You appear to be missing the contents of the envelope.
+180

I don't have it on me, but it primarily contains brochures and info that can also be found online, especially on the Admitted Students page. The main thing you would need is the college certification form - which can also be printed online. Remind me to send you the link if you can't find it - will get around to it after I finally answer your PM (sorry but I'm on vacation now :D ). There is also an 'admissions checklist' and some other stuff like that, but I'm pretty sure they're all online. Edit: just saw your other comment - the admissions letter is not that exciting, and half the length of the first one.

Oh and there's also this Image

The general consensus last year was that they (admissions) have enough actually relevant crap coming their way that there is no reason to send them another communication that adds little to no value to your application, and it may even be irritating.

It wasn't like people were screaming NO DON'T DO IT!!! ... Just generally wasn't advised.

You appear to be missing the contents of the envelope.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure I can locate the certification form. Enjoy your vacation!

Mine was damaged, too. Gonna go ahead and say that the envelopes they used were too flimsy for the weight of the materials.

One of y'all needs to go make the Harvard class of '19 group so you can take your admitted privilege out of my thread.

Though let me just give you a heads up. If you become the OP and then later on I am accepted, I will seek to supplant you. 8)

So are the emails we got the same address that we would have if we commit to HLS?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
