Any other Wilson invitees not yet hear back about their submission? Should we assume we didn't get it, or do you think some are still being reviewed? Has anyone received a email explicitly stating that their submission wasn't accepted?

Do you mean an email saying "yes we received your essay" or the actual scholarship decision? I received the first of those but not the second, submitted a week ago.rfc180 wrote:Also interested in this. There are reports of people being named alternates for the scholarship, so if you haven't gotten a decision yet, I'd say that you're still in the running.

The actual decision; I received a confirmation email that my submission was received but no decision yet.

I just went UR2!! I'm so excited to finally have some movement. Now if only UVA could move past UR1 1/7.

Seeing so many people go UR2 recently...has me optimistic for a wave soon. I went UR2 on 2/9 and for some reason was under the impression that UR2 meant decision soon for Penn.anonymous117 wrote:UR2 today after a month and a half of UR1! So excited just to see movement!

I was invited to apply for the Wilson yesterday (admitted 2/26), so I would assume they are still in the process of reviewing and awarding them.rfc180 wrote:Also interested in this. Re: Penn c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Advice please.
So I'm just now discovering that Penn offers exactly what I want, and I should have put alot more attention into my application. I went UR2 a few days ago. Should I send in a LOCI? I've got a good draft ready to go and will edit until tomorrow, but I don't want to be in waitlist limbo. I have a full ride to a T20 but would definitely pay sticker at Penn considering what I've learned.

Just in case anyone else is as obsessed with looking at Penn/Philly things for the fall, and is thinking about housing, there's a pre-recorded online housing info session for grad students here: https://upennsas.adobeconnect.com/_a101 ... ode=normal
It's kind of slow and seems like they're really trying to sell Sansom Place, but after 28:00 it gets more useful. And if you are procrastinating at work like I am, it helps feed the Penn excitement
ETA: meant to post this in the other penn thread, sorry

If there are no calls tomorrow then we'll be three full weeks since the last "when penn law called" tweet, and I assume 3 weeks since the last acceptances

Just got an email; I received the James Wilson scholarship!
Submitted my essay for it on 03/04, so it's looking to be a two week turnaround, approximately.

I stand corrected although that sounds like it wasn't part of a "wave" so maybe acceptances will now just be trickling outInterficio wrote:If you look upthread, I was accepted via e-mail last Saturday.theconsigliere wrote:If there are no calls tomorrow then we'll be three full weeks since the last "when penn law called" tweet, and I assume 3 weeks since the last acceptances

I know nothing about Philly, so what would you consider a reasonable minimum COA for Penn? Is the official COA estimate about as low as you can get?
