Do we know if Columbia also eventually sends confirmation e-mails if for whatever reason they've communicated a decision via snail mail?

Called and asked why I hadn't had a decision (or even a hold/wl) after applying half a year ago and they said I was still "under review" and should have a decision by the end of the month, and I was like isn't that tomorrow... And then they were like oh yeah maybe by mid April.

That's hilarious and terrible at the same time. Sorry to hear that.

Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of the "Hey, I know we're making you wait as long as we feel like, but please write us another letter telling us why you love us so much" e-mail they sent out either. I feel like their admissions department needs to hire a PR guy or something.

I got the LOCI reminder email a few hours after they confirmed receipt of my LOCI...

Just accepted this afternoon! Very happy-- good luck to everyone still waiting.

QUESTION: Does anyone know when they will release scholarship information? (not the full or half.... just the regular stuff) And how much do people expect them to give out compared to NYU?

Thanks : )

Do all regular decisions for U.S. applicants come through snail mail? Thanks for any insight...the wait is excruciating!!!!
I think the email with LOCI was only given to those put on Hold/Waitlisted, so you do not have to worry about that.

Reserved just now via email. ~Median LSAT and above 75th GPA, complete 3/4 (asked for a hold for the February LSAT). Will probably be withdrawing. Good luck to everyone still in!

Yes, some non-international named scholarship recipients, but I don't think all.

Posted this in the 2018 forum, but I just withdrew. I hope this opens up a slot for others. Good luck!

so if I already uploaded my LOCI through their website, do I have to email them one as well?

You're a good person. Thank you for withdrawing quickly rather than just letting the deadline run out.

I called the office and asked them more or less this same question yesterday. They said that email was just one of the ways to get it to them, and that uploading your LOCI through "My Columbia Law" should be fine. It'll still get added to your file.

I think it's ridiculous that they don't confirm receipt of all LOCIs - this is too big of a deal to just hope that they receive it. Systems like this fail all the time.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
