That's interesting..I didn't know UVA posted status updates and there definitely wasn't one this morning when I just checked but just now it changed to "Application Under Review" with a date of 3/2... anyone else have something like that?

Yep, mine just showed up with that. Under review 1/19.

UR with today's date, submitted in late Jan. Seems like there's no rhyme or reason to the dates.

Speculation alert! Speculation alert! Perhaps UVA decided to actually use the status checker's UR date/status feature following LSAC's site upgrade last weekend. Maybe it interfaces with their systems better now. (But, for the record, UR 1/19.)

Yeah, I suspect it's either just a glitch that lets us see the dates or they decided to go with the status checker norm.

UVA recently sent me a fee wavier AFTER their deadline to apply (saying its ok - you can still apply). I am guessing that they are trying to get more people to look at (they don't have enough applicants?) so I'd guess this is good news for you guys.

UVA recently sent me a fee wavier AFTER their deadline to apply (saying its ok - you can still apply). I am guessing that they are trying to get more people to look at (they don't have enough applicants?) so I'd guess this is good news for you guys.

I do not want to sound too cynical, but they might just be doing one last push for yield rate (and mostly auto-dinging the last applicants).

If they YP people with worse stats than that, who show at least enough interest in UVA to apply before the deadline, then I don't see why it couldn't be an auto-YP ding (or WL, same effect).
