Hi All,
Does anyone know what the timeline is after an acceptance email is received? I haven't received $$ info or anything aside from an email welcoming me to the class. Thanks!

I'm good with tls meet up!
And bar review!
Yeah last year a group of us all met up at ASW, then met current students at bar review. Then the following night got dinner after the day's activities and then went to a bar and some more current students met up with us there. So basically, I'd advise you all to do that.
+1
Sounds like a great time. By the way, what hotel are you guys planning to stay in? I got a travel stipend but no hotel. Haven't really looked into it too much yet but would like to stay somewhere where some of you cool people are staying!

A lot of people stay at the Moonrise, which is in the Loop. This is the neighborhood that's next to the school, and one of the two main places people live, so it may be a good place to try to stay and get a feel for things. It's also easier since you can walk to the school from there (~15 minute walk) and then you'll also be by a lot of bars for socializing, and there's one really big bar there that we went to last year that I can see if I can get bar review to be at on Thursday, or people can just go there on Friday.
When I was picking where to live I chose the Central West End over the Loop because I wanted a more upscale neighborhood and not to be surrounded by undergrads, but if I had to do it over again I probably would have picked living in the Loop. There are more people there and to me it feels like there's always a bit more going on there because of the undergrads, and CWE for me just gets a little too quiet, despite it being a big weekend destination with lots of bars/restaurants.

Another spot to stay would be the crown plaza in Clayton. It's prob not walking distance from campus so you would prob need to take a cab, but still like a 5 minute cab ride to campus/the loop, nice area, and reasonably priced. Iirc, several people stayed there last year for ASW.
Edit: moonrise is def the better option if you are def doing bar review (assuming scotti gets it at bb hill) but I think it sold out last year so just giving a backup option.

Admissions set me up at the Knight Center, which is apparently right across from the law school. I think rates are slightly cheaper than moonrise also.

Yea that's literally right next to the law school. That will fill up quickly if it hasn't already.

Lol nope.
And don't worry, it takes a while to get stuff together, so they'll send out student contacts when they can. Kind of like the shirts I guess.

Oh man I hope you're being sarcastic. I've heard of visiting students being gunners in class and trying to answer & ask questions.

No, no classes. Honestly law school classes are the same everywhere, and boring, so idk why anyone would want to sit in on one anyways tbh.

But in the event you do, please do not try to answer questions. K thanks.
Also I think seeing a class has value.

I actually booked earlier today at the Residence Inn Marriott on 8011 Galleria Parkway because I saw that Wash U gets a corporate discount (code WAS). Saved me a little bit of money, took a 3 night stay from $546 to $414 or something like that. That's total after taxes.
Not sure where that's really located in proximity to everything else, but you should book there calawgrl so I'm not alone!

id b too intimidated by such smart students at wustl that i wldnt b able to speak if i were a student here
also it has been sighted that a 0L was taking notes in class when he was sitting in on a class. like what is he gonna do with those notes? keep them for a year and use them? lolol XD

I'm still waiting on a scholarship offer myself... Applied 1/13, interviewed 1/20, accepted 1/23. I know I could be waiting awhile so I'm trying to be patient but it's getting harder and harder every day when I see people on here getting theirs then I open up my inbox to nothing. Gah.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
