It's not typical for applicants to send WhyX's to HYSCCN.

Chicago especially, if you are a strong enough applicant to get an interview, will ask you Why Chicago then.

I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Had my interview just now. Not really sure how it went. It only lasted around 10 minutes, and the guy just sorta fired off the standard questions mentioned on this forum in a bullet point fashion. It never really became a conversation, and he never followed up with subsequent questions about my responses. It was very stiff.

Mine was like that too, but lasted a little bit longer. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

How much time is given in the interview for asking questions?

I had a few minutes at the end and was able to ask all my questions.

I think in my interview we "lost track of time" on a few questions, so I had a very small window at the end to ask questions. I think I got in 1 or 2. However I also asked one or two questions during the course of the interview. Like I'd mentioned that I liked X about Chicago; she said something about X at Chicago, and I asked a followup question about X at Chicago.

I was really hoping for there to be a wave of acceptances this week...guess not! I'm bummed.

Kudos on getting a conversation out of the interview. Seems like that's rare with U Chi.

Out of curiosity, did you interview with AP?

Mine was exactly like this. I felt really weird about it afterwards, and worried that I was speaking too fast because I had prepared answers to all the questions the interviewer asked. I wouldn't worry about it either, I think that's just their interviewing style.

P.S. mine was just over 12 minutes and felt really, really fast.

Took me about 3 weeks to go from UR1 to UR2. My UR2 date change was when I received my interview invite.

Thank you. Was wondering, because I submitted late December, Complete 1/16, UR1 2/06, UR2 2/14. Probably a ding.

I figure the next round has to be at some point this coming week. I'll guess Tuesday.

I originally guessed last week. I'm on board for Tuesday.

What's the latest interview date that should be covered in the next batch?

There's someone in the spreadsheet who got a decision on 1/21 after a 1/16 interview. So if decisions come on Tuesday, they could potentially include people who interviewed this past week.

Note: this fact was determined without sorting or filtering the spreadsheet. Because I love kittens.

Was the last wave acceptances, WL, and dings? Were there any people passed over (i.e. interviewed and had status updates but did not hear back) last wave?

Edited to make more sense. Haven't had my morning coffee yet...brain is still half asleep.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
