It's not typical for applicants to send WhyX's to HYSCCN.jjking wrote:Also UR as of today... Chicago is the one school I wish I'd sent a Why X but didn't....Guess I'll have to hope they don't ding me beforeI can send a LOCI?
Chicago especially, if you are a strong enough applicant to get an interview, will ask you Why Chicago then.
I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Had my interview just now. Not really sure how it went. It only lasted around 10 minutes, and the guy just sorta fired off the standard questions mentioned on this forum in a bullet point fashion. It never really became a conversation, and he never followed up with subsequent questions about my responses. It was very stiff.

Mine was like that too, but lasted a little bit longer. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.Tariffs wrote:Had my interview just now. Not really sure how it went. How much time is given in the interview for asking questions?

I had a few minutes at the end and was able to ask all my questions.nothingtosee wrote:How much time is given in the interview for asking questions?

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I think in my interview we "lost track of time" on a few questions, so I had a very small window at the end to ask questions. I think I got in 1 or 2. However I also asked one or two questions during the course of the interview. Like I'd mentioned that I liked X about Chicago; she said something about X at Chicago, and I asked a followup question about X at Chicago.nothingtosee wrote:How much time is given in the interview for asking questions?

Kudos on getting a conversation out of the interview. Seems like that's rare with U Chi.IrishJew wrote:I think in my interview we "lost track of time" on a few questions, so I had a very small window at the end to ask questions. I think I got in 1 or 2. Mine was exactly like this. I felt really weird about it afterwards, and worried that I was speaking too fast because I had prepared answers to all the questions the interviewer asked. I wouldn't worry about it either, I think that's just their interviewing style.jingosaur wrote:Mine was like that too, but lasted a little bit longer. P.S. mine was just over 12 minutes and felt really, really fast.

Sorry if this was asked, but typically how long does it take to go from UR1 to UR2 to interview invite.

Took me about 3 weeks to go from UR1 to UR2. My UR2 date change was when I received my interview invite.bloomingtea wrote:Sorry if this was asked, but typically how long does it take to go from UR1 to UR2 to interview invite.

Thank you. Was wondering, because I submitted late December, Complete 1/16, UR1 2/06, UR2 2/14. Probably a ding.kenwash wrote:Took me about 3 weeks to go from UR1 to UR2. What's the latest interview date that should be covered in the next batch?

There's someone in the spreadsheet who got a decision on 1/21 after a 1/16 interview. So if decisions come on Tuesday, they could potentially include people who interviewed this past week.Trig wrote:What's the latest interview date that should be covered in the next batch?

Note: this fact was determined without sorting or filtering the spreadsheet. Because I love kittens.midwest17 wrote:There's someone in the spreadsheet who got a decision on 1/21 after a 1/16 interview. Was the last wave acceptances, WL, and dings? Were there any people passed over (i.e. interviewed and had status updates but did not hear back) last wave?
Edited to make more sense. Haven't had my morning coffee yet...brain is still half asleep.
