Just wanted to say good luck to everyone who is still pending, and for the most recent wave of waitlists, don't give up, UVA takes a large number of its entering students from the waitlist, so make sure to follow up with a LOCI. Submitted 1/25, Complete 1/27, crickets since then.

we have similar numbers, I was complete since 12/2 and didnt hear a word until I was WL on 2/12

Complete since 11/15, not a word since.

I've been complete since September. Heard absolutely nothing so far. If UVA was my first choice, I would've gone crazy by now waiting this long.

I just received an email about calling the dean at my earliest convenience. Is this an implicit interview request? Or am I in? What's happening? I have an interview with another school today that's been scheduled, so I don't want to call UVA before that were the call with UVA to go on for a while or something.

Thanks! I've been taking interview notes down as it is, so if it happens to be an impromptu interview, then at least I'm in that mode.

I would just assume it's an interview of sorts, cause it probably is. someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but i think we've seen earlier in this thread that sometimes a call, while perhaps serving an interview purpose, can also end in an impromptu acceptance if it goes well.

eta: as in, an on-the-spot acceptance via that same phone call

Head to the choosing threads. However, read the sticky about posting first. Include all your relevant stats and goals. Also, you should wait until you have scholly offers.

This is definitely true. I received an email asking to discuss my application. I called and spoke to the Dean and she asked me why I wanted to go to UVA and then just accepted me after I gave the answer.

However, others on here seem to have had actual, real interviews with acceptances coming later by email.

Thanks for the responses. It's interesting, because in the email there's no explicit mention of discussing my application, but I'm certainly preparing for the call with that mindset.

Haven't heard anything back since I submitted back on Thanksgiving...sitting at >25th LSAT and >75th GPA so I'm a little worried. Is it too early to submit a LOCI without hearing back about a WL/Ding?

Got an email this morning requesting an interview sometime this week/early next week. Went complete December 27th.

Now to go back through this thread and look at all the interview questions/advice.
